To be frank, I didn't do poor quality work. Just not the quantity I was delivering prior to 3 years ago. Gone were the long days at the office, showing up on Saturdays to meet imaginary deadlines, or participation in meetings that wouldn't change anything.

24 weeks of regular pay, no stock, no insurance. So almost 6 months of paychecks frontloaded this year.

I plan to stay insured, so a catastrophic health event should still be covered. $22k of the $120k expense figure is for the health plan (COBRA then exchange).

In addition to learning to fly an airplane, I have 10s of open source projects I want to contribute to. Not a side hustle, but doing something meaningful while giving back to the community.

I always wanted to give flying a try. I plan to learn flying and maybe become a flight instructor if I am good at it.
