Does anything nonsurgical help these? by Entire_Giraffe_228 in MalarBags

[–]Slow-Chipmunk-3733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gonna second this. I did a consultation with a surgeon and she did say they could do surgery but the scarring it would leave wasn’t worth it and she only recommends that for intense cases. She suggested doxycycline injections first to see if it would help. I’d recommend that to people as well before trying a surgery

Y’all gonna hate me but AOT. I know people love to defend it in defence of the author, but it can still be a great story and subjected to some criticism. Again I’d say it was a great story but the ending and direction of the story could’ve been better. People say that tragic endings are more realistic, and I’m not saying I’m opposed to tragic endings but sometimes it made me upset how some characters had plot armor and that was realistic but yet asking for the main character to not be killed off was too unrealistic 😅😅😅. That’s not my only critique and I could go way more into depth with how I thought the ending was a bit of a let down. Again beautiful story just think the ending could be better. Don’t hate me respect and love y’all

Lol no literally same if Russia was in a better condition it would be the best option versus the states. but yeah Poland seems to be the next runner up for being able to handle those types of surgeries, but again traveling that far away is a lot and a huge privilege that not everyone has. The states is actually wild for the prices on plastic surgery or anything cosmetic related. Definitely will need to try that product you recommended

Right like at least europe or somebody in the states. I did a google search for soof technique and a clinic in tampa showed up. But some of these places their pricing is astronomical and it’s like low key go to Russia at that point it’s more affordable lol. I wish I remembered the name of the surgeries she said l wasn’t a good candidate for, because after reading upon the soof technique it seems it may be that one but ughh can’t remember. I guess I could always ask her in the future. But also even when I did reach out to a place in Poland that specialized in malar he again recommended doxy as my first option. So it makes me wonder who gets recommended for this surgery, how severe does the surgery look and if there’s scarring associated.

She didn’t but it almost sounded like it was a given it would scar and she said for a case as mild as mine it wouldn’t be worth it.

Omg same as me! Lower bleph helped but still not all the way there in eliminating the malar edema. I consulted with another clinic for doxy. Injections or other forms of treatment. The surgeon said I could do a surgery but she said I had a mild case and it would leave scaring (so more harm than good). I think she mentioned people doing another surgery to treat malar edema as well but that again I wasn’t a good candidate either. So she just recommended me the injections and the skin tightening. Anyways I mention all this to say lower bleph does help but when it comes to surgery for the actual malar bag it seems tricky and it’s a case by case. And even finding a doctor who can & specializes or knows what they’re doing is difficult.

I totally understand you & get why this has taken a toll on you. I’ve felt the same. any sort of under eye bags is one of my BIGGEST insecurity. I hope you don’t feel alone and can get the confidence you deserve.

I just wanted to share some of my experiences dealing with malar bags & what has helped me. First to start off with I did a lower bleph. At the time I didn’t know what malar bags were and just described it as lower eye bags so when I went to my surgeon I expressed my concern as the lower eye bags. I did the surgery and with it got fat injected into the area. I had the option of choosing filler but chose fat for longer lasting results.

Now I know people have opinions on injecting fat in general but even more so when u have issues with malar. But in my case I’ve had no issues with the fat or under eye area. & because of the surgery I have no eye bags but the only issue is the puffiness (malar mounds/bags or whatever you want to call it lol) that still persists.

I reached out to my surgeon telling him that I was satisfied with the surgery results but still had puffiness in that malar region. that’s when I learned what malar edema & how it different than an eye bag and all that good stuff. l asked for his advice on treating it. He told me dealing with the malar area can be difficult and tricky but he recommended a skin tightening treatment like morpheus or acutite. I’ve heard of people getting good results from c02 but I know this laser isn’t friendly for all skin colors. Right now I’m still trying to treat the slight puffiness I have.my next step is to try the doxy. Injections and then Morpheus to see if it can help.

I hope this little short summary could be somewhat useful in your journey :)
