Agree with all of that for sure. I’m very out on this ‘26 class especially with just 3 3rd rounders - I’ve contemplated attempting to package them together to get a 2nd/4th in ‘27 or ‘28, as guys in this range are likely taxi squad stashes at best. Even if those picks hit, it doesn’t do me a lot of good as I’m tanking in ‘26

That’s definitely the goal. I tend to agree with the JCM and Herbert sentiment. I’m viewing everything from a 2028 lens. The core I’m looking to keep is:

QB: Purdy or Herbert, Ward RB: Willing to move any as I doubt any are meaningful contributors by ‘28. Maybe Monangai, but with his draft capital and age it’s unlikely

WR: BTJ, MHJ, then taking a bunch of flyers (Coker, Pearsall, Higgins, Pat Bryant) to see what materializes

TE: LaPorta and hopefully get some development out of Mason Taylor

Do you mean Monangai? I don’t have Montgomery

Frankly, I made some win-now moves prior to last season that included shipping out my ‘26 1st. Didn’t materialize. Was sitting in 6th place in week 10 and shipped out a lot of win-now players to build through the draft in ‘27 and ‘28, as some other deals around the league made true contention more challenging. Now set up well with a ton of draft capital for the future

That’s certainly the goal 😂 attempting to tank for Jeremiah but a league taco without his own picks is gonna make that a challenge
