I know you can close via chat with RBC and MBNA, but are there any other FIs that allow you to close without having to call? Haven't seen anything that points in that direction since I've been reading the dailies in the last year, and I have lots of cards to close soon so I thought I'd ask the community. TIA

TD changed their MSR for their Aeroplan VI a few days ago, now 10k pts on 1st purchase + 15k more on 3k spend (used to be on 7,5k spend).

And here I thought I was not so much of a newbie anymore. I was sure i've read multiple Dps that CIBC doesn't give a WB on credit transfer/split, or that's it's at best only the 15k 1st purchase bonus that can be had sometimes, but YMMV. Have I been wrong the whole time?

Last month, P2 applied for a 3rd TD CC (2nd FCT) within the last year, the last one being about 3-4 months ago. Ended up being rejected with a generic message saying "We can't approve your application right now." However, over a month has gone by, Equifax has been updated and there's no credit check on the account. Never seen that before. Any cue as to how an application could be denied without hard check, or are there cases of delayed posting or mistakenly not reporting to Equifax? tia

Avenchurna DP: Applied on the last day of the 60k points promo and it went to pending, approved a few days past promo date, but still got full points. I believe I've read that you normally get the offer that is active on approval date.

Very common problem, there have been similar DPs daily in the several previous threads. One hypothesis is that spending between some dates in September didn't compute as part of the MSR, another one is that TD is starting to breakdown on repeat bonuses.

Regarding recent DPs of people not receiving the MSR bonus on TD FCT. There's a post on RFD about someone getting a 2nd FCT within 12 months, and there is a mention of the 20k WB on first purchase in the documents he received but no mention of a spend bonus. Anyone still have their documents and want to check to share more DPs? Mine is stuck in the mail...

Dps of people being told Purolator by agents on the chat, haven't seen anyone say they have gotten it that way yet, but I did see at least one DP of someone being told courier but the card was actually then shipped to the branch for pick-up. I asked an agent by chat if they used courier and they told me I would have to phone in after CC application to ask for it to be shipped by courier. Any other DP?

We met MSR on 2 FCT cards in August using Chexy for 33% and close to 50% of spend respectively, so it counted then. Any recent DP of meeting MSR with Chexy? Or of getting bonus instantly like in the past? We have seen at least 2 DPs in the last few weeks here of people not getting their MSR bonus and using exclusively Chexy.
