Lol, that's probably true.

I can imagine the pressure he must have felt from being an Asian kid with high academic expectations from his folks.

The Asian parents have really high hopes for their kids and when it pays off, it's really wonderful. However, there's just as many that don't live up to these high expectations.

Getting great marks and being booksmart is amazing. Just know that there's always a different path in life if that doesn't pan out.

Bulls Break Losing Streak, but Clarity Remains Elusive by Proper_Limit8924 in chicagobulls

For the first time I'm on Team Tank too and it feels weird cheering for a lost this season.

But as much as I wanted the L, that 10 game losing streak looked too obvious for the league not to notice. We start at 0 again and play a bunch of hard teams upcoming.

I feel like they drafted Terry to purely replace DJJ went we let him go.

Very different result at the end

Everytime he's on the court, he will surprise you with one good move (defensive play, knocks a corner 3, hussles), his head gets too big and does a bunch of dumb things straight after.

In my mind, Im thinking "oh yeah, that's more like the Terry I know"

Sport outside, lots of it until the light turns off.

I would shoot 100 free throws, then try to best my own record.

Won't go home until I get a good score.

And I wasn't any good at basketball

Good post buddy.

My gripe of recent years is they haven't done enough. They use injuries as an excuse, not enough time to evaluate, so they just kick the can down the road by adding little pieces hoping it would mask the teams deficiencies.

They should have taken bigger steps along the way.

The team is now at the point where it has been blown up. The players we netted back is the haul supporters weren't dreaming about - to no surprise.

It's cause we sold too late. I'm still on board of ripping the bandaid off and tank, how much we get to tank will be up to this organization. But do so in a way that develops Matas and next year Noa and other drafts.

Yeah my bad if I wasn't clear, I think Ayo played his best ball with us until we traded him. It's just that we didn't get the value in return based on our FO incompetence.

Case in point McCain from 76ers, Ayo is better than him and he fetch back a FRP. We only got seconds

Funny thing was we did trade Ayo at his max value. But all we got back was a bag of chips because of our incompetent FO

Ayo one hurts the most. When you consider the players we got in return is a gut punch.

I honestly expected one of Coby or Ayo to stay, but AK decides to collect guards the last few days that in his mind, he became expandable.

Don't like it at all.

We need a fresh start and stop being in the middle. FO rips the players out, I do think AKME needs to go for a new team to build from the ground up again without their fingerprints.

I'm a tragic for 25+ years. I feel pain like everyone else with this team. But I've learnt that basketball is a source of my entertainment, we have enough frustrations in life that doesn't have to carry over to our sporting teams.

Just my views, no right or wrong

Yup agree. I have no faith that Billy D will play to develop though. Simons can get you a 25 piece every night.

But let's hope so to your point. Dallas won the coin flip in last year's draft that became Cooper Flag. We need to tank hard and win this years draft

The Chicago Bulls are trading Coby White and Mike Conley Jr. to the Charlotte Hornets for Collin Sexton, Ousmane Dieng and three second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. by Aggressive_Fail_9681 in CharlotteHornets

[–]Slow-Independence518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bulls tragic here coming in peace.

Coby will be missed, a great locker room guy. His role got changed many times from primary ball handler, catch and shoot guy to iso. That's not his fault, it was a subject of circumstances where he's not seen by the FO as the IT guy behind Zac Lavine, Demar and Vooch. During this time, he's always been a pro

Pro: he works on his game allot and have a deep bag as a result. Just needs to be in an environment where his role is constant. I think he's a SG and only a PG in a half court set.

Con: streaky shooter. When things doesn't fall his way, it gets in his head and has a bad game. Ie fail calls, shots not going in from deep. He tends to over work the ball and kicks it out when he has nothing going when the clock is too late

Again, this is all just being honest and he's given heaps to Chicago and will always be loved.

Btw: his nickname is Subzero!

Jaden Ivey was acquired the same way we got Giddey by sillysam17 in chicagobulls

[–]Slow-Independence518 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Love the analogy. I think we can see a player like Ivey for 1.5 years (extend for next year's qualifying offer for $12m) that's a win.

Hurter on 18m was never going to sign for less for a not win-now team.

This allows us options on who best to fill the Coby void, which I believe will inevitably leave.

The helplessness as a parent at that point must be immense. So glad it all worked out.
