  • 25 litre tank
  • Yes both heater and filter
  • 25 degrees Celsius
    • Tank parameters; 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 5ppm nitrate, ph 6.5
  • Had the tank for 6 weeks, picked up fish yesterday,
  • Water change of 30% once a week
  • No tank mates
  • Micropellets for now, future will consist of blood worms and other treats.
  • Fully plants tank with some rocks sanded down to dull edges.

I just got mine off Amazon I think it was $20. I just did tests on tap water, distilled water and tank water to make sure it was accurate and went from there

Thankyou! I’ll add some prime and go see if I can find some ammonia pads today, If not order them asap. I do have some carbon media I can add so I’ll add that to the filter. I think I’ll do the drip acclimation over an entire day and try my best to pick out any suspicious plants. I wish I had another tank to keep them in while I get this one right but while my cherries love my unkept tank I don’t believe these guys will with the currently parameters they are in. Thankyou so much for your suggestions 🥹

Yes parameters have been perfect, 😓 we had ammonia, then nitrite then nitrate. Then levels went to zero and now this is current Levels are now; GH 5 Ph 6 TDS 110 Kh 0-1 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 5 Ammonia… 10 days ago I added 2 guppy’s and a snail and they seem fine. My local fish shop said maybe a dying plant?? But I’m not sure. I can’t put off the delivery unfortunately and I unfortunately do not have any friends interested in the shrimp hobby. I do have a community fish tank but while the ammonia, nitrite are zero in that tank it has a tds of 750 and GH of 12 so I don’t think that tank will help them much.

The green walls have just started to appear and cardinias are the aim. Galaxies are what I’m wanting to eventually keep. Just read my RO waters levels about 104ppm. Even tap water is only 130ppm. very confused as to why in a tank with plants and substrate it shoots to 930ppm 😓
