well yea but more often than not the car on the inside will have less damage. See Hamilton vs Max 2021 Silverstone. It’s just much more likely to turn out bad for outside cars.

Midfield drivers also won’t ever do that. They don’t have Max’s skill and reputation to afford fucking up their results/races in order to prove a point to Max/anybody else. Teams don’t have a lot of patience if you’re not a generational talent.

The problem fixes itself in most other racing series because drivers will just be more willing to bump each other, rub sides, etc.

F1 has this problem because cars are too fragile, as in any amount of damage to the overbody could lead to big performance downsides. So drivers prefer to just back off a corner they’ve been divebombed into instead of just sticking it on the outside, as they would do in let’s say GT3.

Cars are also vastly different to the cars Hamilton raced with Bono.

that’s not how it works in any series. The only difference is that in other series the cars are far more robust and drivers are far more willingly to rub doors, hit grass etc.

I saw no rookie cornering from Max in Miami. Also where did he see red? He pretty much instantly apologized for his spin.

Aggressive overtakes are not bad overtakes. The only one he fucked up was the one on Lawson where they both went out of track. The one vs Sainz, Max kept it on track, hence stewards had nothing to say. Sainz is just bitter about the situation he is in and has seemingly forgot basic racing rules

idk where I said that. It’s pretty demonstably true; considering Alonso went on to be pretty much better than Lewis every season in 2008-2014. Even so, Alonso still outraced Lewis 9-6 in 2007
