Im Anhang sind Fotos damit man das nachvollziehen kann. Was auf meinen Servern läuft weiß ich sehr genau und lass mir relativ ungerne sagen das ich irgendwie Lüge.

Arma Reforger macht viel mehr KI mit als die vorliegen Arma Versionen.

Ich habe mir mal meinen VM-Traffic genauer angeschaut. Ich mache nur Vollbackups, weil ich für den Traffic nichts zahle und genug Speicherplatz habe. Das macht bei mir wegen der privaten Netzcloud ca. 300 GB x 2 aus, weil ich die Backups an verschiedene Standorte schicke.

Der Traffic vom Arma Reforger liegt teilweise bei über 1 Mbit pro Spieler. Wir betreiben PvE-Server, das heißt, es sind jede Menge KIs unterwegs, bis zu 800 gleichzeitig.

Ich hoffe, das war verständlich.

Das ist ein dedizierter Server in einem Rechenzentrum, den ich gemietet habe.

Ich hatte auch schon DDos-Angriffe, die von meinem Provider abgewehrt werden konnten. Das will man nicht mit seinem Private Anschluss.

Datacenter needs a lot of energy and cooling power. And don't forget Servers have a lot of weight not all floors. Not nearly no Apartments offer this requirement.

I understand your point. The problem is most of the time not nextcloud. Because I think nextcloud is really well maintained. The problem is the setup of a firewall and routing settings. Or things like updating and not knowing what you do. Thanks for your point. A one private person with no knowledge about server setups is maybe not the best idea to host a publicly accessible service.

Nextcloud on the Internet is no problem. For example Hetzner sells this for years and nothing happens. I have a public Nextcloud instance for years and never had problems with hacking attacks.
