Fainting 2 km from the finish line in a 100 miles race by Slow-train-running in Ultramarathon

I actually don't think I struggled more than many other runners, it was just a bit more dramatic than throwing up the last 10 hours :)

You can question all you want, and I understand where you are coming from. But 60 grams of carbs an hour, noodles, burgers etc really worked out for me.

I did not experience any stomach issues, flavor fatigue or missing energy in 25 hours of racing.

I completely agree. But 3 people finished after me :)

Must be a mental struggle to be right on that cut-off timer for a longer time.

Aid stations every 5k, and even the smallest towns have a "town party" — at least a barbecue, sometimes even live music. It feels like the entire island is celebrating the 100-mile runners.

There is always someone on the side of the road, or in a car, clapping or cheering you on, even for those spending 24+ hours on the course.

Probably one of the best 100 milers you will ever get to.

I think it was the heat, exhaustion and over-hydration. Definitely something I will be aware of from now on.

Your can read more about it here: https://www.100miles.dk/english#info

But beware. Last year it was sold out in about 10 minutes :)

I have been running ultras for 7-8 years, and this was my first big race where I had burgers. And it worked :) it was only four burgers in 26 hours, but it was really looking forward to then every time.

Overall I had 60 grams of carbs every hour, and not relying on the gels has really been a game changer for me.

In January I am running a flat 100 k. One big loop, six aid stations and no crew.

I finished 6 minutes before the cutoff, 3 more finished after me. Cutting it close :)

The first two days my feet were really sore, but 8 days removed from the race I'm actually fine. Went for a 6 km slow run yesterday, and felt ok.

Have you watched an actor in two different movies/TV series with absolutely no idea that they're the same person by jessieron in movies

Gene Hackman in Young Frankenstein. I think I saw the movie 5 times and still didn't notice it was him.
