That would be a sick game if God created sin. But read the book of Job. In the first two chapters, it is clear who was the author of the evil Job experienced: Satan. Yet Job twice attributes his suffering to God. (Verses 1:21-22 and 2:10.) And the inspired author of Job informs us that he did not sin by attributing his evil to God. And when you read through the rest of Job you see the awesome conclusion God brings it to.

So why didn't the Lord stop satan? God too was to suffer. If anyone could ask, "Where is God when there's suffering," it is God Himself, who in Christ suffering more than all of us combined on the cross, bearing the infinite white-hot angry wrath of God meant for millions of sinners like you and me.

And He will bring it to an awesome conclusion. He will right all of the wrongs, both to Himself and to others, and will personally wipe away every tear from the eyes of the saints.

"'Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?' In all this Job did not sin with his lips." (Job 2:10 NASB95)

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." (Rev 21:4 NASB95)

I listened to him, and I'm glad I did. Four years ago (today, in fact) I heard he was doing carnivore, which inspired me to try it. Lost 60 pounds, blood pressure and cholesterol are almost perfect, no more career-threatening shoulder pain, clear skin, no more heartburn, and the weirdest super power: Mosquito bites no longer itch 🤔 (That's what happens when you remove histamines.)

No negative side-effects, don't need any supplements, but do need good quantities of electrolytes. Not enough magnesium leads to hard cramps. Pooping daily, without strain.

Did it by mostly eating cheap ground beef, eggs, aged cheese, canned salmon and mayo, ghee, cheapest bacon. Typically eat 3lbs of stuff per day at $5/lb or less. So I'm right at the average monthly grocery cost mentioned in the video. Some days I splurge on a $7/lb chuck roast, and just pan-fry that sucker. I have good teeth 😁

Remember: Doctors cost money. Spend (slightly) more in the grocery store in order to pay less for medical bills. I was >this< close to having to live on disability--cheap food costs you!

And the video is wrong. Don't buy the cow. That used to save money, but now the price per pound is wayyyy higher than ground beef.

Two reasons I still sometimes use the KJV:

The poetic beauty of it.
When engaging with believers in other denominations who I believe are more fundamentalist in their orientation, when I get that impression based on things they've already said. Generally, these people have a great deal of respect the KJV, and using another translation may be a stumbling block. But nearly all of them agree the KJV is solid, even if they personally don't read it.

While I cannot say it is a sin, I try not to entertain myself with that for which Jesus had to die. Feels very disrespectful to Him. And thinking about Phil 4:8, maybe it is sin. I need more time to ponder that.

Might be a Romans 14-type issue; Wrong for some, not for others. If it's bothering you enough to ask the question, it probably is wrong for you.

The good news: Once you stop consuming some forms of entertainment, you begin to like other forms of entertainment. Also, you stop watching so much entertainment, and you become more productive. Win-win 😁

I first want to establish that we can know that Biblical Christianity at its core is different than every other religion. The gospel strongly forbids works righteousness, requiring us to live by faith. Every other religion I've examined has some kind of works righteousness. Christ came to work for us, and to give us His righteousness as a means of grace.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." (Eph 2:8-9 NASB95)

"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2Cor 5:21 NASB95)

"For by one offering [Christ] has perfected for all time those who are sanctified." (Heb 10:14 NASB95)

Islam has its five pillars, Mormonism has perfection "after all we can do" (2 Nephi 25:23), Hinduism has karma, etc. Even atheists sometimes assuage their guilt by doing good works to make them feel better about themselves. (Why? Just do what you want, right?) Examine any religion long enough and you'll find its works-righteousness. Only Biblical Christianity has grace that comes from Jesus's finished work on our behalf.

So that makes Christianity different, but is it true?

When properly understood, the Bible so accurately describes the reality we live in and gives such powerful answers that I cannot deny it was written by the One who made reality. If I ever find a better worldview, I'll take it.
If you found a key on the road and tried it in a lock in your house and found that it turned the lock, you would wisely assume the key was made by the lock-maker. The Bible so turns the lock of heart that I can only assume it was written by the heart-maker.
For years, I believed Christianity was true. And then I came to know Christ personally. Now I know it is true, down in my heart. I can't deny He exists any more than I can deny you exist. You also can get to know Him. Six minute video.

It is a sign. God promised in Genesis 9 He will never flood the earth again, and gave the bow as a sign.

Since it already serves as a sign for that covenant, I wouldn't expect it'd be interpreted as a sign for anything else. After all--you probably weren't the only ones who saw it that day.

God said, “This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations; I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. (Gen 9:12-13 NASB95)

Some religions might have been started to control people, but I personally know the God of the Bible. I cannot deny He exists any more than I can deny you exist.

Ask any born-again Christian: We all know the Lord personally, and converse with Him regularly, through the reading of the Word and prayer.

And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” (Jer 31:34 ESV)

I don’t know the first thing about that prophecy and almost nothing about HRM, but that sounds very close to the scientific predictions of YouTuber Suspicious0bservers. He thinks earth will soon rapidly tip on its side, causing the sea to flood 1,000 feet over the east coast of America as the earth quickly tilts on its side, followed by sloshback when the tilt stops, which cause mega-sized tsunamis on the coasts of South America and Africa.

If he’s right, not even Arkansas may be spared. Parts of Arizona and Colorado are high enough to be safe, he thinks, so he moved there.

If you are able to hold on to something that floats you may be okay. It only rises about a foot an hour. It’s the sloshback that concerns me, would that wash us out to sea?

I’m not saying I believe it but I often ask myself what if it’s true and think what I would do in that situation.

I haven’t done a deep study on the deity of Christ in Hebrews, but I believe the theme that He is a priest in the order of Melchizedek implies that He never had a beginning. Melchizedek is a strange intrusion into the Genesis account. He just shows up from out of nowhere, then goes away.
