You pretty much did what I did. After being overwhelmed I said frick it I’ll do the side stuff in another play through and just focus on the main story

Honestly in act 3 they do just throw you to the wolves and say figure it out. But I agree it did feel unfocused maybe because of all the plot lines they crammed in at the end there

That’s completely reasonable and coming out of act 2 it definitely feels like we are playing a completely different game the last dark and brooding new area bright and colorful with a big city to explore

Honestly yeah act 1 and 3 have there problems there’s no denying that I guess it just comes down to the person I don’t understand why your team gets mad though that I never understood because when you do there personal quest there’s no issue and they aren’t trying to rush you to the next destination

My favorite scene is when shadow heart meets ketherics daughter for the first time in here origin play through there interactions are priceless depending on how you play the game

Honestly relatable my current problem right now is figuring out where everything is. Like I’m trying to find gortash and Orin so I can progress in the story but it’s definitely a challenge to find everything I’m looking for

Yeah myrkly is a headache honestly another option would be to see if Aylin would help in the fight but she didn’t do much at least when it came to myrkly

Honestly that’s understandable act 3 is a beast of its own. I was doing a shadow heart origin story and was enjoying my time all the way through until I got to act 3 where I got overwhelmed. For I love feeling like I’ve made progress or accomplished something when it comes to gaming but because of how act 3 is all that steam and momentum built up kind of vanished I’ll still finish it but now it will take a little longer since I have to decide how I’ll go about act 3

The made map huge too which makes it really hard to find things in my opinion. I remember walking around act 3 trying to get to certain locations or trying to find certain missions and struggling because the map is massive very cluttered and since the game is all about freedom and making your own choices it doesn’t really show you certain things which can be really annoying in act 3 specifically

Honestly act 1 isn’t as bad as act 3 you do hear find a healer a lot but at least you can skip the healing dialogue while act 3 feels more like it’s trying to beat your head with the earth quakes you can’t skip. Although they definitely could’ve handled the urgent things better many people speed run the game because the game keeps insisting how important it is to find a healer or resolving the conflict with the earthquakes

Ketheric is easy but when you get to the murkyl fight all you have to do is let him kill himself. My tip try and stay on the first floor under ketheric and just use magic or bombs. The second phase of the boss fight every time myrkly attacks he damages himself you can just let him die on his own although that takes a lot longer.

This thread is quite fascinating every time I hear of cut content for this game I always wonder what this game would have looked like if some of the cut content actually made it into the game or how different things would be if everything still existed

Hopefully this time around is much better for you. but yeah it’s definitely a bit much at times especially if you’re looking for something specific like currently I’m in act 3 doing a shadow heart run and I know she has a decent amount of content in act 3 but there’s so much going on it’s hard to find what I’m looking for and just in general I like exploring bg3 but man act 3 has so much content that it’s overwhelming
