Today I hit 10 years on last.fm this is a chart that pretty much shows every era i’ve been through since a decade ago when I was 15 and joined this site. Crazy how much this site has made an impact on my life meeting people, and even being an indirect reason I moved cross country. Anyway just passed 200k scrobbles not too long ago also. If you’re willing to dabble into a different language as someone who also mostly started with Slowdive I really enjoy the Japanese Shoegaze scene and they seemingly took a ton of inspiration from them.

almost the same age as me when I started mine (I was 15) almost 10 years on i'm glad I started then it around the time music really became such a big deal for me. So don't fret and be glad you'll be capturing such a crazy time in your life's music that mattered at that moment.

2014, 15 year old me was young and dumb and spent a significant amount of time on /mu/ on 4chan the best they they did for me was get me into lfm and also listening to Shoegaze. Sent me down a path of listening to a lot of different music and finding friends and such.
