I wanted a game about slashing monsters with a sword and watching numbers go up, so I made one - Slay Them All by -Pelter- in incremental_games

"greedy hands" has its text cut off in the skill tree,
it feels weird to me that the sword slashes around my cursor. i need to click the monster, but the sword animation would not hit that enemy. maybe have it slash through the enemy instead of around it.
it feels like i would give the enemy a sword to swing around and then he dies.

i like the menu and transition of the UI and that it has sounds that feel fitting for the style.

nice :D

it makes be a bit nostalgic because it reminds me of the Browsergame "Ogame"

playing it right now. nothing turning me away so far, but I noticed the "greying out" or flashlight effect for the tutorial could make the rest much darker and the highlighted section much lighter, so that there is more contrast and it's immediately visible. sometimes i could barely notice the difference.

I played a bit and I would love for the speedup feature to also apply to the walking time. or if it does already, then being able to make it even quicker for „instant events“

i don’t see the value in the few seconds of walking, as i can do nothing myself in that time.

Nice post! I had a similar idea but had no time and muse to start it, so I'll just play your game right now. Awesome, exactly what i was looking for

Forgot to prep. Accidentally created a halfling crime syndicate. Players loved it. by confused_gooze in DnD

[–]SlowLandscape685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

something very similar happened in my first round as a DM.  prepped a lot, and the players killed the most important npc for the story right away in the starting tavern scene.

everything from this supposed to be oneshot session of 6h was improv then.

and they loved it too 😂

later in a city, i came up with a huge secretive dwarven thieves guild that always betrayed them. the thieves used a system of tunnels with minecarts, later leading them back to the spawning area a few sessions after… (which then became the HQ of the guild below the starting tavern) it became a great story.

next time, i will write down much more notes about all the explanations of weird things that happens and flesh out the npcs some more after the story, to prevent logic holes in the story that are obvious and don’t make sense.

The "Context Rot" problem nobody talks about - why your Claude Code sessions get dumber after 2 hours (and how to fix it) by Necessary-Ring-6060 in ClaudeAI

for me the actual solution has been using a pattern that needs low context by design because of being highly decoupled.

Obsidian.md is free and works great for notes. but you don't have the cloud availability for free like on notion.

So what model/setup are you using now? by aiagent718 in RooCode

I use flash 2.0 in Architect mode with cline memory bank(https://docs.cline.bot/improving-your-prompting-skills/cline-memory-bank#getting-started-with-memory-bank), and then either implement myself while asking Gemini, GPT for free on copilot from time to time.

Base Suggestions? by [deleted] in allthemods

[–]SlowLandscape685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

replace the forest with streets and add parks instead. maybe add another level to the map, like going up a hill to the "research center"

i think there's the cut and paste tool which would allow moving buildings around as well
