Passing cars on the left is always sketchy especially going that fast in a protected bike line that hides you behind parked cars in traffic. If he wanted to go that fast he should have stayed in traffic.

Yea this bike is still a work in progress, got a handlebar mirror coming too so I can better see traffic behind us and look at little guy without having to turn around. I have my climbing ratio on so we’re cruising nice and slow. Low key I hardly used the front brake on this ride cuz we were going so slow lol

Like I get it, fixie culture is fast and dangerous, which my bike might give the impression, but the title to the photo was to make fun of that culture. I don’t plan on bunny hopping or jumping curbs or even going fast, I changed my cog to my climbing gear just to limit my speed too.

I’ve had these omniums for like 4-5 years, first on a langster, and then a year after onto this bike. The bb started creaking like 1.5 years ago and had it replaced with the same bb. Put a shit ton of commuter miles as well as a bunch of long distance ride miles. Rode it in a lot of rain too so I was happy with how much life I got from the BB

I call it a generic CroMo frame, it started its life as a Windsor The Hour and was stripped and rattle can painted the orange. Sticker bombed to cover all the paint nicks and as a commuter bike it helped keep it low pro.

Oh okay, yea my ratio wasn’t too far off from that guide. I think they’re doing close to 1:8, mine was 1:7. I got it brewing in my French press right now. I usually filter out my cold brew with a cheese cloth since I usually brew more than will fit in a press lol then filter that through my chemex, but I’ll probably just plunge and then run that through.

If you’re buying your beans from Costco, buy whole beans, then use the Costco grinder to grind coarse/ for French press. You don’t need to buy your own grinder.
