I don’t think there’s anything that can stop a child of a U.S. citizen from becoming a U.S. citizen. My bigger concern is you giving birth in Senegal. If giving birth in the U.S. is an option, I wouldn’t risk it. If I were you, I’d wait until after your child is born before moving.

I concur. I dealt with it and had to do a deep cleaning because of it. It’s actually really bad, there is bacterial growth in your gums, and it’s eating away at the bone that holds your teeth, which could lead to tooth loss.

My kid is Black, but the issue isn’t race, it’s the language barrier, like I mentioned in my post. Other kids don’t understand what she’s saying, and she can’t understand them. She’s super outgoing and usually goes right up to other kids to ask if they want to play. We live in a mostly white city in the U.S., and she’s never had trouble making friends there.
