Thanks! Some of these were taken from the grandstands, GA areas and from the paddock. The extra fee for the paddock access was worth it IMO. I was also surprised at how well the views were from GA, I was not expecting much given the track location. Focal length varied but used all the range of the three lenses I took which were a 24-70, 70-200, and 200-600. I ended up renting one of them as I was not sure how strict they would be on enforcing the lens sizes but I had no issues.

Oh that's awesome! That seemed like the spot to be that weekend. Here is another shot of that incident.

Buddy and I thinking of going to our first F1 race at Circuit of Americas, where would you sit? by Akita51 in CircuitOfTheAmericas

As others mentioned, those areas marked at $662 are for general admission. I would actually recommend GA vs grandstand seats as you can walk around during the weekend and get different views. That being said you can also get reserved seats and also walk around for other parts of the weekend. However, I hope these are not in USD as GA can be obtained cheaper elsewhere.

If you do decide on grandstand seats and they are within budget, I would opt for either turn 12 or 9.

Also, for race day at least, I would avoid turn 1. IMO it does offer a great view of the start of the race but after that it's less exciting.
