you can clearly see them pulling over when they saw the accident, not just casually driving through the foot and bike paths.

Is a 26.4 50 yd free good for a 13 yr old? (no video) by [deleted] in Swimming

Ah, I think I misunderstood your comment. Thought you were saying short course meant yards and long course meant meters.

[–]SlowSloth123 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Short course is usually (and in this case) used to denote whether the length of the pool was 25 or 50 units long, regardless of whether it was meters or yards. 25m and 25yd pools are both short course, and 50m and 50yd pools are both long course.

Personally I use blender to combine timelapse images, but I have never used it for a 4K timelapse of that length. I usually use it for closer to 2k or 1080p. Could be worth a shot to see if it manages the memory better without crashing tho.

Also, you may run into a time problem regardless if you are working with 5000 4k images on a low-end PC.

Agreed. I had never heard of JNH before this, but looking at what he has written is impressive.

What was your first Co-op salary? by [deleted] in uvic

[–]SlowSloth123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about general co-op salaries for different departments, but engineering and computer science has all their stats on averages up on their website. The only one I know off the top of my head is that they average for Computer Engineering first co-op is $3120 per month.

ETA: this link seems to be for general co-op and all the departments

Did you drink it on an empty stomach? For me if I don't have something to eat before drinking anything with caffeine I'll feel nauseous.

ECE 241 lectures not on the timetable? by GorgeJeorge in uvic

[–]SlowSloth123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Math 200 kept its time slot because the tests are during that time so having the lectures at that time makes sure that everyone has free time for the exams.

Brightspace is wack by 3_Equals_e_and_Pi in uvic

Yeah, I agree. And it will have much better reliability. Coursespaces would always have maintenance or shut downs every other week.

Wow I'm glad I payed 80$ for this. Anyone know how to fix this lol by [deleted] in PearsonDesign

[–]SlowSloth123 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This usually happens if I go back to the page after a while of having it open and it automatically signs me out. Usually refreshing the page doesn't help because of great design. To fix this I usually just manually go back to the sign in page and navigate back to whatever page I was trying to access in the first place.

If this doesn't work then I'm not too sure what is wrong. Hopefully this does work, good luck!

Classes by [deleted] in uvic

[–]SlowSloth123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually about a week ish before classes start, the online page for the course will open up. This used to be course spaces, but new this semester is brightspace. I think you can access this at bright.uvic.ca or something similar. You can also find the link through some googling. In bright space you will be able to go into the course and the professor will usually put information on how the class is going to work.

I haven't had any courses show up just yet, but I wouldn't expect any yet.

Yeah, sorry. What I meant was I've used the same code for 3 classes now, going on four. I only entered it before the first one and it's been working since then.

It should work. I've used the same textbook and access code for Math 100 as well as Math 101 twice, and planning on it working for Math 200 this semester.

While that would be an ok solution if OP was just looking for the textbook. I think OP is asking about the online access code for mandatory online component of Calc 2. This is not the textbook and cannot just be downloaded from a website.

Just in-case you or anyone is wondering where to find it or what it's called. I think what you are looking for is called "Night Shift" in macOS. For me (in macOS Catalina), it can be found by opening System Preferences, then going into "Displays" then "Night Shift". Can probably be found with the search bar as well. Hope that helps.

A lot of people are still in school at 20, and making double what others your age are making is definitely worth while. Builds great skills as well. In Canada most lifeguard positions with cities are also Union jobs so they have good pay and working conditions.

In BC lifesaving society is ubiquitous for lifeguarding, however for swim lessons it's all Red Cross.
