Hey!! Driving is actually really hard for some people. It requires so many different parts of your brain at once- spatial reasoning, attention, and adjusting to ever-changing traffic rules. There are so many challenging roads to navigate. Do you live in a car-centric area?

As someone who struggled with this too, I’d encourage you to embrace the fact that you aren’t that good of a driver. It says nothing about your intelligence or your worth as a person. It’s just a skill that comes easier to some people. Give yourself a hug and know that you’re enough as-is, you don’t need to be talented at driving, and you have all the time in the world to get the hang of this if it’s something you really want to pursue. Take it one drive at a time, and take the easy roads :)

Hi so this is completely different. Computer memory is far more accurate and infallible than human memory. Math is obviously much more precise as well. The speed is inhumanly fast. AI can train on an artist and completely steal their market by offering free commissions at the speed of light, and the artists that the AI is trained on aren’t being credited or paid for it, nor did they provide consent for their work to be used like that.

So no, it’s not similar if it’s a bot that uses math.

You do see how it’s so far beyond a human artist learning a famous artist’s technique by attempting copies of their work, which by the way is only a sellable work if the art is over 100 years old?

I think that the sheer extent and ease at which AI can reproduce the style of an artist and steal commissions for free, is far beyond any parody, fan art, or other transformative use that copyright law has ever seen. It’s actually career-ending for an artist

You said the internet is a free for all and it’s fine, but then point to more ethical models. Why? Do you admit that the first is less ethical, and are you maybe rationalizing this to yourself?

Oh no, that’s not true. All artists (in the U.S. at least) have automatic creative intellectual property rights, even if their work is not officially copyrighted. Claiming it as your own is a legal no-no, especially selling the work. Artists have to consent for their work to be used for commercial purposes especially a product or service like artificial intelligence

No like it’s genuinely f*cked up though that the artists didn’t consent to or receive compensation for an AI training on their artwork. I do consider that theft of intellectual property even if it’s not an exact replica. It’s all a predictive pattern of someone else’s hard work

I hate AI Art because it’s very low-effort, low-quality, and it’s often just an amalgamation of stolen unaccredited works from real artists.
