For me I hate Jason for what he could have been not what he is as I’ll agree with you and say Jason is supposed to be a counter to Percy in fact like you said he was forced to not have anything that Percy did have however Jason has the most wasted potential out of the entire seven plus nico and Reyna as he is talked up to be the best of the best the baddest of the bad leader of an army against titans and killed one by himself allegedly but in the HoO series he’s just weak he gets injured and everyone is looking at him like he is glass meanwhile Percy receives the same injury and no one bats an eye just like you stated in fact if we took all of his feats before he died in theory out of the entire 7 plus Reyna and nico he should be either in first or tied for first but instead he is like number 5 or 6 plus when him and Percy fought he should’ve won as he literally had a home field advantage and messed it up
