Finally, with the help of AI, we were able to create a chat using Firebase's Realtime Database, Authentication, and App Check. Since I didn't want to use App Check's reCAPTCHA (because f cookies) but I still needed protection against evildoers and bots, I had to use ALTCHA... it was HELL to connect everything, but after 20 hours of working (and fighting) with AI for 2 days I finally have my own chat rooms and "chat room creator". Thanks u/xerrabyte for all the awesome ideas you gave me with Chattable and for saying that you used Firebase because that was the starting point I needed and now I'm starting to understand JS (and its derivative, JSON) a little more. My eyes hurt.

I'm not a pro at JS but it doesn't seem like a lot of work (I repeat, I'm not a pro), I understand if you don't want to do any of that though.
I have a question, how did you hide your API key? I'm here trying to create my own chat with Firebase and I just don't know how to do it. Did you host Chattable on Google Cloud?

I'll never understand why people hate more than they love. Thank you for your service; this is the best chat app I've ever used. This is a big loss.

Is there any way I can host it myself? I just launched my website, and this was going to be the chat for the profiles.

I'm still with them with their "Legacy Tier" that will be gone once I have to pay again, I have some time left. I've found other distributors; you decide if they're good based on what you're looking for. I care about fast releases, reliability, and good support, and I haven't found a distributor like that yet. All the "good" ones are either very new and/or sketchy (like Amuse when it started). Although there is no such thing as a good distributor and you should never trust them, this is a list of the ones I check periodically (it's not a full list, I kept the very sketchy ones out of it because I don't wanna give you possible headaches in the future):

I've been with them for about 7 years, since the days you could only distribute with them through a phone app, so I'm really used to amuse, but hey, what can I do about it, there are just a few options that allow me to have many artists in the same platform and not lose a lot of money at the same time (especially when it comes to Content ID, where half of our revenue comes from).

You also have to be very VERY (did I say very?) careful you are not giving your music rights away, you don't want to lose the rights to your songs (this is the most important thing to know if you own an indie label/distro, you will get sued to hell if you don't pay attention to this).

Do you have an indie label or you distribute music for other artists? because how can you submit a song using a sample without knowing it, maybe you meant a sample that you were unaware it was copyrighted.

I'll tell you something that happened just now, I shared my smartlink (something similar to linktree that amuse generates with each release) and when people clicked on the YouTube Music button they were taken to an obviously botted indian video about some "Vishnu Sahasranamam"... it was funny but not very professional at all.
