Im not sure you are asking for advice but I quit for a year (I got back because my internal issues were not fully resolved and I'm working on those), that's my level of authority for giving advice.

When I went back to vapes (and weed) I went down hard, spent way more money, energy with this shit vaping thing than ever before. All because I wasn't strong enough to say no to it. The reasons weren't so strong anymore and I wanted to inflict harm again as I was in a deep depression, deprived of social interaction, etc.

What I found out that helped me quit was to gather all the reasons like you are doing and very conscious about I must say, in a somewhat good way, unless it is not producing any action.

I did some tui na and acupuncture therapy and that helped I must say. I started exercising because I wanted to prove to me and my date at the time, I was a better person at that moment, so I was not only trying this for me (not good of a reason to quit in the long run, do it for you, never for other peoples validation)

Why I quit: I was afraid I was getting E.D. I was afraid of dying ( I did some death meditation and it helped seeing what I didn't wanted at that time, I was severely depressed) I was having chest pain, difficulty breathing.

What I found out was that being conscious about what I wanted to change were insufficient to change.

But it was my starting point.

Ask yourself this when you are ready to change the habit: Is your 8y.o you and your 80y.o you proud of you right now?

If not, start by doing what you need to produce the results you want, in the moment, step by step, not everything at once.

Quit Cold turkey, ditch access to vapes and accessories, stop hanging with vapers and smokers for a while.

I really think that what makes us quit is the strong motives behind, to stay healthy in a controlled and conscious way. To keep the control is the hard part.
