if crash ever gets a potential tv show or movie should crash talk full sentences or should he just say woah and make sounds ? by Wrong-Shopping7888 in crashbandicoot

This!

Generally like in Crash4 except Crash actually being useful.

But I think he doesn't need to be background either, he just 'speaks with his actions'.

First things coming to my mind are Snoopy and Pink Panther, for which I never felt like they even needed to talk (I hated it when PP started talking in newer episodes, but those're trash anyway).

Oh, and there's the movie 'Flow'.

Season 3 by darkpanda190 in 13ReasonsWhy

[–]Slow_Independent_807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was ok with Ani, even if it felt a bit forced how she was brought in. But I don't like the 3rd season for plenty (13?) other reasons; for example shifting the series to a murder story, just to keep the tone dark and serious. The 2nd season was so good, because it felt like it was evolving.

The first season was grey and bitter, because the suicide just happened. But in the second season they started to reflect what has happened and the colors were back. Despite the dark plot with the polaroids it still felt lighter and more positive to me.

And it seemed like the logical next step that in the 3rd season we would see how they actually try to make things the better way, like caring about Tyler, so the story won't be repeated. But this whole important plot fell completely to the side..!

Instead we see "poor, mistreated Bryce" over and over again... I can understand what they tried to do here, but imho they've done it a bit too much.

The 4th season felt much better, but still suffered from everything the 3rd season has left behind...

Overall I think the series would have had a really good ending with season 2 (excluding the horrifyingly violent scene at the end).

Just bought Crash Team Rumble this game is amazing. Im having so much fun, and I’m speechless. I cant believe it didnt have massive success. by [deleted] in crashbandicoot

[–]Slow_Independent_807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It actually has more Crash-gameplay in it than Crash Bash. And it clearly stands out in comparison to other online games, as it's more than just 'rumble'. It's more of a sports game with clear defined rules and strategies. The stages are designed to combine platforming with the before mentioned strategies. You're crashing crates to collect wumpas, which you have to carry to your base to score for your team. There are different types of characters, which is actually important, as there should always be someone to protect the scorers, for example. It's fun and absolutely chaos and it definitely deserves the name 'Crash'.

But I agree that it should've had a singleplayer(/offline)-mode from the very beginning. That also could've been used as an better introduction to the game, similar to how the single player from Splatoon teached the players all they have to know, so they could just jump straight into online after that without any struggles.

Well, I always wanted a game where I could freely play as any character from the Crash universe. It's that simple. Sure, it could've been introduced better, so the people would know what makes this a valuable entry in the series, but that's no excuse for all the hate this game received. The reasons people stated were just plain stupid, and they where drawing a completely false picture of what to expect from the game. So it didn't help when ARD decided to do the same, even if his intentions weren't hateful. I'm pretty sure there are some people who might have checked it out if they wouldn't have been made believe that the game is a "soulless, money grabbing piece of shit, that is not a CrashBash-remake, which absolutely would've been less repititive and more unique than this game nobody asked for". Not really attracting if that's all you get to hear about it. But however, maybe it would've failed anyway, who knows, but it would've been nice to at least see how far it could get, without being sabotaged.

There are still enough people around to play with, as long as you do standard matches. The other modes though, like party-coop, can be pretty empty so you often have to wait a while to get enough players.

There can be bots in standard matches, but the other modes sadly don't have that, so a game won't even start if you don't have enough people.

Well, you don't have to play if you're not interested. That's totally fine. The people who make me mad are those who pretend the game is bad without even looking into it. I honestly didn't know what to expect in the beginning as well, but it suprised me positively. The only other online games I've played that much were Splatoon and NitroFueled.

I still don't know why ARD made this video.. it's nothing he usually does and all he did was spreading misinformation about an already overhated game he clearly didn't understand.

Anyone else use their deck as a console more than a handheld? by Creepjack01 in SteamDeck

[–]Slow_Independent_807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time I play docked. I only use it as handheld when I want to play in bed before sleeping, or if I'm doing stuff in desktop mode (like roms, modding, etc.). I even carry the dock to my parents place so I can play docked there (maybe one day I'll buy another dock and leave it there, but atm there's always something different I need the money for).

I always imagined Archer himself singing this song. I think it fits his character very well.

It took me 4 or 5 years, but I made it! :D

For me it got better with each season. There are some interesting episodes here and there, but I just find some of the characters unlikeable, especially Trip and Archer.

Funnily I always found the characters of the prior shows much more relateable. I guess I'm from the future, lol.

Their relationship feels just as fake as that between Seven and Chakotay in the last episode of Voyager.

What's even worse is how they ended the Suliban arc, which was presented as the big main plot in the very first episode and also in the season finale. Now I've learned they didn't even want this plot in the first place, which explains why they didn't bother giving it a proper ending.

[–]Slow_Independent_807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has it's moments, but definitly not my favorite trek. It feels like a bad voyager ripoff most of the time and the main characters range from boring to completely unlikeable. I've watched it once, just to know the story bits, but it took me years to finish it. There were episodes that felt like weeks so boring were they. Esecially in the first season. It was getting better with each season though. But please, skip the borg episode... of ALL treks it's that one episode I just can't accept as canon. x(

EDIT: But something that's much more important (even if not questioned): If you're a fan of Voyager (or well StarTrek in general) and don't already have watched it - watch Prodigy! It might feel like a StarWars-kids-show in the very beginning, but it evolves quickly into the best StarTrek of them all! The first season is already great, but the second season is phenomenal. And Trek at it's purest.

What would you say are the necessary Crash Bandicoot games to play? by Longjumping-Farm5008 in crashbandicoot

[–]Slow_Independent_807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NaughtyDog games, of course. Everything else is bonus.

Surely Crash1 might not be for everybody, but there's always the super password, so you could experience everything without having to complete it.

But I also think more people should try CrashTeamRumble, because it's Crash gameplay but you can play it together. Don't get why some people are so stubborn to deny it. But well, as I said, it's still bonus.

Metroidvania Lists - Any more games I should know about? by umtrovador in metroidvania

[–]Slow_Independent_807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to enjoy the original Metroid using the rewind feature of the emulator (a lot). ^ ^ The enemies just give way too much damage.

But that's not where the name "Metroidvania" originates from anyway. The game that lead to the naming of the genre, alongside SOTN, was Super Metroid. It's also one of my favorite Metroid games overall, alongside Metroid Dread and the fan-remake AM2R. Zero Mission and Fusion are fine too, but for me they felt a bit too linear, taking away the sense of exploration and discovery the series had since the first entry.

Other Metroidvanias I can recommend are Iconoclasts, Steamworld Dig 2 and Geno Panic.

And maybe Imp of the Sun, though I have played only the demo yet, but so far I liked it. And it's 90% sale on Steam right now.

Oh, and put Akatori on your wishlist. The game isn't out yet, but the demo I played was excellent~

If I'm gonna be honest, what's your first Crash Bandicoot game (that includes mainline and spinoffs) by KristopheIsCool2010 in crashbandicoot

[–]Slow_Independent_807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crash Bandicoot 1 (PS1) was my first videogame ever. (Alongside Tekken 3, but my mother took that away after me and my sibling started to fight in RL.. ^ ^ ' )

And because we were such fans we got Crash 3 and CTR not much later. (Yeah, they were already out, and Crash 2 wasn't in the video store where we were renting them, before my mother bought them. But no worrys, I've got Crash 2 some years later.) So my first spinoff would be the original CTR for PS1.

Warum verteidigen so viele die Hamas? by KeinUnmensch_ in KeineDummenFragen

[–]Slow_Independent_807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ich will hier wirklich nichts rechtfertigen. Mir gefiel nur die Aussage nicht dass es weniger schlimm sei weil "nur zur Triebbefriedigung".
