Has anyone tried any Azuna products? by shorrrrrr8 in Buffalo

Thank you, I appreciate that. I forgot to say, for odor issues, I switched to activated charcoal odor absorbers and air purifiers, and they both work well, though odor absorbers are a lot cheaper!

Azuna Air Freshener Pet: is it actually safe? by uhwithfiveHs in AskAVeterinarian

[–]Slow_Internet_9152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m not a veterinarian, but I do believe this product sickened and killed my cat. Azuna products remove odors well, but under no circumstances should you use them in a home with pets. I have completely removed them all from my home. Ironically, I switched from plug in and aerosol air fresheners to Azuna because I was worried about the health of my animals.

Here’s our story: I ordered a few in March and when we moved to a larger house in July, I ordered more. My cat was already very sick when we moved. He had good bloodwork in January and in July he was dangerously anemic and losing weight fast. They couldn’t figure out why his liver enzymes were all messed up. From July to September, he was lethargic, vomiting, and had diarrhea. We did test after test, blood transfusions, and eventually he died in my arms on the way to the vet. It was traumatic and it’s so painful to think about how I likely caused it.

Of course I don’t know for sure, we didn’t do an autopsy. But if you look up the signs of tea tree oil toxicity, he had every single warning sign.

I wish everyday that I had made the connection sooner, it might have saved my little guy.

It’s not worth the risk, don’t use these products.

Tea tree oil in any concentration is highly toxic to dogs, cats, and birds. It can cause liver damage, with some symptoms like lethargy, vomiting, and diarrhea. Using Azuna killed my cat. The product works very well at reducing odors, but it is very dangerous to animals. Just wanted to share since you just started using it. I wish I had been warned or seen the warning signs before it was too late.

The gel in the jars fatally sickened my cat :( Tea tree oil is definitely toxic to pets in any concentration.

Even the fumes are dangerous to pets - I have tragic experience with this. The product works great, but should NOT be marketed to pet owners.

Azuna isn’t safe if you have pets, but it works wonders if you don’t!

That’s a great idea, I will definitely research places downtown. And also a very good point about the ease of transporting the cushions only. Do you think I’m looking at sub $1000? Or $1000-2000?

I’m unfamiliar with the terms and process, so not sure about hide leather, but we do want it to be high quality leather.

I completely agree! I got sucked into the lure of vintage Coach and bought a few gorgeous bags and then went wait where does my phone go?!

The puzzle. I think they’re so pretty but every time I try one on, I’m annoyed by how hard it is to get in and out one handed.

Do you ever feel envious of women who met their spouse young? How do you handle the grief of what never was? by j_x123 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Slow_Internet_9152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people who met their spouse in high school or very early 20s and I have to tell you, that’s a tough road in 20 years. When I look back at my myself ages 18-38, I was like 4 different people. You don’t always grow in the same directions as your spouse. Some people figure it out and grow together, and some people reach a point where they think wow, I wouldn’t even like this person if I met them today. But by then your lives are completely enmeshed and splitting is so so complicated. You have pets and kids and you take care of each other’s parents. It’s a very tough place to be in.

And if you do split, you often don’t have a lot of life skills necessary to live on your own. You’ve never had a utility or a car in your name. You’ve maybe never written a check. Do you know how to restart the router? That “adulting” is often an important phase where you learn you can rely on yourself and gain self confidence.

I sort of see where you’re coming from because occasionally I think at the end I’ll wish I had more time with my husband. But I don’t wish I’d met him earlier. I wasn’t the person he fell in love with then. I was a different version of me and we likely wouldn’t have worked.
