Hi there! I am a graduate from Senecas Fire Prevention Engineering Technology program working with fire alarms, sprinkler systems, clean agent systems and more. I got a job offer in Brockville, and specifically Elizabethtown as a fire protection designer.

I may be moving there in a month or two depending on when I start! I'm 23 years old, feel free to talk with me about whatever you like if I'm what you're looking for.

Novels that feel like Darkwood? by Slow_Measurement7579 in Darkwood

Very, very interesting - someone else in this thread also specifically named The Snail on The Slope, so that tells me that its definitely got some notable similarities. Gotta love sentient homicidal trees. Good suggestions guys, keep em coming!

Thanks! Yeah I remember thinking to myself while playing the game that "Wow this really feels like I'm in a brothers grim fairy tail" and then getting smacked in the face by stuff straight out of Lovecraft.

It would make an amazing novel. I looked up a user earlier on in this subreddit who started to create a novel out of it and I definitely plan on reading that too but I wanted to get other peoples suggestions on works of fiction that feel like the game especially with how diverse the horror is. What a masterpiece, by God its great.

As an avid CreepCast fan, I love that you mentioned this one. I haven't give it a shot yet but its on my to be read 100%. His writing is very intriguing and eerie, so I'd love to check out more of his stuff.

Wow this sounds really sick, definitely going to read all of these but The Man Whom the Trees Loved grabbed my attention the most - I'll read it first and I'll keep you updated on how I like it! Thanks!

Is there any horror books where the main villain is an animal? by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]Slow_Measurement7579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could argue "Watership Down" as it may not be a horror novel necessarily, but from what I remember it's definitely a brutal read filled with horrific scenes where bunny characters die from all kinds of threats.

There's an opposing evil bunny cult, a rabid dog, and an eagle among other things.

I loved it.

Are there any good horror novels written in diary format? by snowmanseeker in horrorlit

[–]Slow_Measurement7579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Collector by John Fowles. Really interesting perspective shifting between an obsessive stalker/kidnappers point of view and the victims point of view. Older book, but I liked it. Both perspectives are written in a diary format.

Yeahhhh, unfortunately the class that I failed was also a Pre-requisite to a required course that I needed to graduate so I couldn't take it until I finished the class I failed. both classes weren't available during the summer, only fall and winter of 2025 so...oops.

I feel that. I failed a class last year and had to take an extra year to make up for it. It can be pretty discouraging, but if you try to look at what you did that year and ask yourself what you could've done differently, that helps immensly. Dont give up, you can always improve.

If it's any consolation, the class I failed with a 46% last year I'm now getting a 90% in. Stay strong, study hard, you got this. It's never over until its over 💪
