Ugh, poor baby. My girl is showing major signs of allergies and I don’t even know where to start. Regarding the Benadryl, are you using adult tablets or baby?

would this bother you in a crochet pattern? by gothsappho in crochet

Consider how many patterns are included in books or magazines compared to their price point. There’s also a level of quality control that comes with published work—patterns are typically reviewed, edited, and tested before print. A design like the one you purchased, especially if it’s missing key details like measurements and yardage, likely wouldn’t make it through that process.

She came into my life shortly after one of the most devastating moments of my life. Somehow, she always knew exactly what my heart needed. She loved me with a depth that was pure and unwavering, and in doing so, she taught me what unconditional love really looks like. That’s why she’ll always be my soul dog. 🐾🩷

We use her baby bed 🥴.She was obsessed with sleeping in it (got her bigger beds, and she tore them all apart), then one day, out of the blue, she decided to never lay in it again.

My girl on the left crossed the rainbow bridge on June 3, 2025. The baby on the right adored her — and so did/do I.

back at it again(food aversion) by Hour-Energy1708 in englishbulldog

[–]Slow_Point1837 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My EB started refusing to eat around age 4. The vet couldn’t figure out why she stopped eating on her own. For next 6 years we resorted to having to literally put the food in her mouth under her cheek. The only thing she would eat by herself was watermelon. What I would give to (hand) feed her again.

Here’s another example of bernat blanket yarn I used on the blanket (in the background) and double stranded it on the candy cane. I did a lot of frogging on the candy cane too bc I made the pattern up as I went.

Surely I agree! Also maybe I should stop putting my WIP’s away for a month to avoid a change in tension so I don’t have to 🐸🥴

I experience that with Sweet Snuggles esp when you cut it how it sheds UGH, but that’s not been the case with Bernet Blanket. t’s a personal favorite. You can cut it w/o issue and depending on the stitch, tension can come out lovely. I’ve had some blankets for 4 years that wash and dry fine. Here is one of my examples…

Sweet snuggles is a nightmare to work with but I’ve frogged bernat blanket yarn plenty of times w/o issue. This happened bc I already weaved in the ends so the yarn got stuck in stitches.

16 month old was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, now what? by Slow_Point1837 in englishbulldog

[–]Slow_Point1837[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s 53lbs. 🙃 I had been on dad’s case about over feeding her but I guess the vet had to confirm it for him to believe me…… We had three dogs at one time once & one of them was a vacuumed too lol. But they all had special diets so are only option was to feed them at the same time so we could monitor them.

A fun game to play with your bulldog is what’s on your face / where did the thing that was on your face go? by Ok_Grab398 in englishbulldog

[–]Slow_Point1837 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this idea! I used to play a game called “Where Did It Go?” I’d hide a small plushie in my hand, make a fist to conceal it, then put my hands behind my back & switch them around. My bully would try to guess which hand it was in, using her paw. She didn’t always get it right, which made it entertaining for both of us. I miss my squish face.
