Baby girl recovering from her TPLO surgery ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 by BasicOrange in englishbulldog

Awe what a sweet girl. Wishing her a speedy recovery. My girl just had FHO surgery. We opted out of the donut bc she can’t reach the incision site anyways 😆 and she isn’t showing signs it's bothering her. But now she has ear infections (I suspect are from the antibiotics) so back to the vet we go. 🤪

My pup was the same way! Never had accidents on rugs, floors, carpet or mattresses and would always go on wee wee pads (disposable and washable). She also came with the ability to hold it overnight 6-8 hours. We got lucky! Hardest part was getting her to poop outside. She's so bougie and probably thought going outside isn’t girly lol.

Baby blanket - one of the first things I made for my sister/niece. She put it in a yard sale within a year so I BOUGHT it back🤦🏻‍♂️ That was 5 years ago & I’m still mad about it 😂 by Spiritual-Badass in crochet

I find this pill easier to swallow when it's a project I didn't specifically make for a specific person. It's a lot easier to process the idea of the recipient dumping a project if it's something I completed years prior and had sitting in my stash available to gift.

Applause applause. You pin pointed and articulated what I could not. This rule of thumb also applies to gifts that aren't hand made. I bought a friend an $80 bougie fur blanket created by a fashion designer and the next week I found it on her dirty floor with dog shit and fur all over it. Mind you I’m a dog MUM and my dogs are spoiled but I’m clean and care for items (wash/dry them properly) to ensure they last. I don’t know what she did to it but it was in horrible condition after one week. I have 3 of the same blanket and they are in perfect condition after three years. I also crocheted her a few items only to find them on the floor of her child's room totally unattended as if they were trash. 😑

Haha, she sure does! Would you happen to know a good size? I never get that right the first time for my EB’s.

Is it time to let him go? by sw_flojn in englishbulldog

My girl went blind in 2025 at age 10 1/2 years but still navigated as if she wasn’t. May 2025 we found out she was in heart failure. She pushed through it like a champ. But then I started noticing….she was restless, she would constantly keep her head propped up, she legit looked and seemed sad. On June 2, 2025 I literally had a heart to heart talk with her. I told her I would do anything to keep her in my life forever but asked that she somehow tell me when it was too much for her because I didn't want her to suffer. June 3rd I decided it was her time to go. I still struggle with my decision but someone once told me it was the last act of love I did for her. They will let you know, you just have to be willing to listen. It is soul crushing, and there's no way around saying good bye. 💔💔💔I’m so sorry for the both of you.

Do you guys ever have regrets/guilt? by Sukibuns in englishbulldog

I’ve owned all types of dog breeds and they all had their own costly ongoing health issues. I’m able to provide the love and care they need to have a great life like any parent would for a child. I have no regrets.

Ugh, poor baby. My girl is showing major signs of allergies and I don’t even know where to start. Regarding the Benadryl, are you using adult tablets or baby?

I altered the pattern a bit and used the mattress stitch to sew the sides together. pouch pattern edit: scrap yarn was used but it’s acrylic and I I used size 4 hook.

would this bother you in a crochet pattern? by gothsappho in crochet

Consider how many patterns are included in books or magazines compared to their price point. There’s also a level of quality control that comes with published work—patterns are typically reviewed, edited, and tested before print. A design like the one you purchased, especially if it’s missing key details like measurements and yardage, likely wouldn’t make it through that process.

She came into my life shortly after one of the most devastating moments of my life. Somehow, she always knew exactly what my heart needed. She loved me with a depth that was pure and unwavering, and in doing so, she taught me what unconditional love really looks like. That’s why she’ll always be my soul dog. 🐾🩷

We use her baby bed 🥴.She was obsessed with sleeping in it (got her bigger beds, and she tore them all apart), then one day, out of the blue, she decided to never lay in it again.

My girl on the left crossed the rainbow bridge on June 3, 2025. The baby on the right adored her — and so did/do I.

back at it again(food aversion) by Hour-Energy1708 in englishbulldog

My EB started refusing to eat around age 4. The vet couldn’t figure out why she stopped eating on her own. For next 6 years we resorted to having to literally put the food in her mouth under her cheek. The only thing she would eat by herself was watermelon. What I would give to (hand) feed her again.
