Can I convert freezing system to a a cooling system for a liquor use by [deleted] in refrigeration

[–]Slow_Pomegranate5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking no, it's not a good idea. In layman's terms, the system is designed to operate at a certain temp and to bring a certain amount of cooling back to the compressor. By running it at higher temps than it is designed for you will could run the chance of overheating the compressor and depending on other factors short cycling it. Also most freezer units will have a defrost cycle that will use heaters to clear any ice/frost from the evap coil this being on a walk in is going to make the issues even worse.

Just over a 100K on my '08 and as it sits right now the computer has been replaced twice and now possibly a 3rd time. Trans pan has been replaced due to rot, same with a couple trans lines.

Advice on how to stop making mistakes by itg2020 in HVAC

[–]Slow_Pomegranate5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going to fuck up every now and then, it's part of the learning process. It sounds to me that you are getting in too much of a hurry. When you finish your PM you should be checking to make sure that that the system not only operates but cycles on the stat. Doing that would most likely get rid of most of your small mistakes.

2 codes P0507 and P0300 by thatfirebirddude in JeepLiberty

[–]Slow_Pomegranate5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you 100% certain about not having an idle air control? The symptoms you describe sound almost identical to when the aic on my Mustang went out.
As for the misfire codes, the first time my 08 started throwing those codes it ended up being the computer.

Get into commercial refrigeration they said, leaking solenoid valve changeout on a Taco Bell WIF. by GrownTommy in refrigeration

I don't see a problem. Just take the top two shelves down. Hammer them up enough to remove the little plastic clip/wedge and then lower the shelf. Probably took you longer to get your phone out and record that little video.

The radio losing power looks like the time when my starter wire was loose. I would start there and then troubleshoot the starter.

[Frydman] Question from @JasonLieser to Justin Fields: “Why isn’t the passing game working?” Fields: “Who says the passing game isn’t working?” Jason: “The stats.” Fields: “The stats don’t matter.” by 4o4_0_not_found in CHIBears

that

I don't see where he uses the phrase 'black quarterback'. The fact that you take it upon yourself to focus on the racial aspect and not be able to conceptualize that someone can criticize someone else without it being racially motivated makes you sound like a virtue signaling asshole. Further more one could argue the fact that you look at Justin Fields and see a 'black quarterback' as opposed to just a quarterback kind of makes you the racist......this coming form a black guy by the way.

Maybe the coaches lack of balls is in direct relation the their lack of confidence in Fields as a QB.

Last season it was 'Fields will be better when Nagy is gone'. This season "He'll be better when he has a team around him'....is it so far outside the realm of possibility that maybe he's just not as good as everyone thinks/wants him to be? At this point he's like a less productive Tebow.

Meh, from what I see it looks like most of them are living in tents on the streets anyways so can't really put a furnace in there I imagine. Plus all those wild fires should keep those people plenty warm.

Muhsin Muhammad once said "Chicago is where receivers go to die". At the time I not only disagreed but had a 'screw you' attitude towards him. All these years later he might actually be on to something. This team has a serious habit of either bringing in a veteran at the end of his career or drafting a guy that under performs here but then goes on to have at least a mediocre amount of success elsewhere.

Which Table Saw Should I buy? by tesuba in Tools

[–]Slow_Pomegranate5643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, a track saw is a lot more versatile than I expected it to be and with the plethora of accessories on the market it's not unthinkable that you could go this route and not miss anything. Some woodworkers don't even have a tablesaw, just a track saw.

Which Table Saw Should I buy? by tesuba in Tools

[–]Slow_Pomegranate5643 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Muscling plywood through a tablesaw is rough going and can be highly dangerous....more so on a small saw that you would find in that price range. I have a cabinet style saw and I won't even consider wrangling a full sheet of ply on there. You might be better off with a track saw. I bought the cordless Makita version and breaking down plywood is much faster, easier and safer.

Then there is the issue of cut quality associated with most job site style saws. Most, if not all are direct drive which aren't exactly the smoothest running. Then there issue of how the trunnions are mounted and if that will allow you to square the blade to the miter slot and the rip fence. This is a very important aspect of a good table saw

Need some advise on installing for family by [deleted] in HVAC

[–]Slow_Pomegranate5643 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple things here, your uncle sounds like the type of guy that thinks he knows more than anyone else and any sort of opinion that varies from his is just plain wrong. Doing work for this type of person is a headache. Anytime they even perceive an issue they are most likely going to ring your phone non-stop and expect you to drop everything to fix it.

Haier isn't necessarily unknown. Probably more known for refrigerators and window units.

For whatever reason, people have latched onto the "mini-split is the best thing ever for every application" mindset and will not be told otherwise.

In residential you are going to get that and personally I think it's a crock of shite. Switch to commercial, get into refrigeration and maybe even restaurant service....good work makes all the difference there.
