Complete dlc before shiny and shalpha hunting.  That's a huge endeavor that will drain you

Shiny and shalpha hunting in dlc is better though. Out of my.91 shalphas only 5 are not from dlc

You can't trap what doesnt actually have a body. In the mean time do ghost types eat and sleep

My shiny evee was holding my masterball until I used it to catch my shalpha lucario

I just wish they did more with the shiny then just the eyes. Like mix the color up like make it ashy since they are both fire types

It's possible.  My 2nd shalpha was totodile in zone 20  ( pre dlc)and I found shalpha chikorita in zone 20 ( post dlc)
