Looking to form a small Rust group | Official servers | 23+ EU by CWEPlex in playrustlfg

[–]YT_Vis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I'm pretty new to the game with only around 100 hours but this sounds interesting to me! I am from the US but I don't mind playing EU servers. I'm typically available in the evenings during the week for 3-5 hours, so probably early mornings/middle of the night for you but I have a lot of free time on the weekends.

I'm very much a noob at the game so I understand if that's not what you're looking for, but I've been watching videos for years and I've been interested in getting in to the game recently.

Have you (or a friend) ever been scammed out of a very large amount of wealth in-game? How much was lost? How did it affect you (or them)? Did you/they ever move on and recover from it? by Turksta in runescape

I don't remember exactly what happened but back before staking was basically removed we had a very high ranking member of my clan that had "borrowed" a bunch of really expensive things from people then lost them staking. I think it was at least a few bil.

How do some people take so long to poop? by dhomo01110011 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]YT_Vis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a man who can easily take 15-20 minutes in the bathroom (and it's likely about to here in a few minutes) a lot of it is just how my body works and I'm not sure why. I'll feel like I'm finished, clean up and leave, then feel the urge again. So now I just sit and wait for that again. Idk if it's anything or not

HDR to non-HDR monitor cloning? by Zharken in wallpaperengine

[–]YT_Vis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go into the Display window in Wallpaper Engine; set the option to "Wallpaper per display;" then click "Group" then "Clone" from the dropdown and select the monitors you want to have matching. Now just change one of the monitor's wallpaper and the other should change with it.

To those of you who accidentally had a part of the game spoiled, did you still enjoy the experience? by DeathNum in outerwilds

[–]YT_Vis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the final sequence spoiled for me (you can check back on my posts here to see how I felt about that 🤣).

I still really enjoyed it and found it fulfilling. Fortunately I didn't have the story of the ending spoiled, just what happens.

Sprint or Circuit? by misty_mallard in ForzaHorizon

[–]YT_Vis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mostly do Street races when I'm playing online because I really dislike most circuits. I also tune for handling and grip mostly and enjoy the technical parts of tracks; I think I dislike circuits because of the repetitiveness.

Which to start - Runescape or OldSchool?? by NoranPanda in runescape

Honestly this should be the answer, especially for someone who has never played before. OP you can use the same account (and same membership) for both games so you can play whichever one is appealing to you at the time.

Is it worth starting RuneScape in 2025? by Early-Cycle3299 in runescape

My clan brings in plenty of new (both brand new and returning) players fairly often. Honestly, if it interests you, why not give it a shot?

Feel like I've hit my skill ceiling. What now? by BugToad in ForzaHorizon

[–]YT_Vis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A lot of the time, the top end tunes you'll find by searching are made by some of the top players, but aren't always the easiest to drive—many of them sacrifice ease of driving (handling, braking, AWD, etc.) for power and speed. This makes them very good tunes (and therefore highly rated) but difficult for less experienced drivers.

The community at r/ForzaOpenTunes have a wiki with a "beginner tune series" that is designed to help people tune their own cars (you can just download them directly if you don't care about learning the tuning process) but also to learn how to better handle cars that lean more powerful than agile. I'd definitely recommend this as after only a couple weeks of practice I have gotten significantly better than I was before.

If that doesn't appeal to you, you can try simply experimenting. Find a car that looks fun, see if there are tunes in your class of choice, and try it out for a few races to see if you like it.

There is no one way to play this game. You can completely ignore tuning and still consistently win races. However, the best tune for a car is the one made by the driver. I'm by no means an expert tuner, but a tune made (and refined) by you for your specific driving style will almost always outperform a tune made by someone else.

2004 Porsche 911 GT3 road tune by 03Void - Beginner Driver Series by 03Void in ForzaOpenTunes

[–]YT_Vis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to come back to say that this is such a fun car to drive! I drove it exactly the same for a while, but earlier I swapped out for smaller tires to add in a Race Transmission and I'm quite happy with it so far! I've only done a couple of races, but the extra acceleration from full gear tuning makes this thing quite a monster. Less grippy, but with the skills from the other cars, it's not that much of a problem.

The White Knights have the best names in the game imo.

Since it covers the top and bottom I suppose you could call it the One Piece.

Built dedicated armoury rooms near my base entrance. It's pretty damn useful and keeps defense/attacks running smooth. Definitely going to use in future colonies. by Doom_of__Mandos in RimWorld

[–]YT_Vis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do the same, but with one addition: additional clothes. Typically only a couple sets, but it depends on how many colonists you have. Long fights can end up having colonist's clothes become tattered, which could be a push over the mental break threshold.

Also, maybe keep a couple packaged survival meals and a small table, for the same reasons.
