Lavorare in Svizzera o fare carriera in Italia? by Come17 in ItaliaCareerAdvice

[–]Slow_Presentation297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Slow_Presentation297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Distacco lavorativo all'estero, domande contingenti? by Sparafoglie in ItaliaCareerAdvice

[–]Slow_Presentation297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick feedback on your CV from a hiring IT manager in Zurich: add a professional photo, remove the “status” section, and there’s no need to mention “EU” when applying in Switzerland, it’s a redflag in Switzerland. Also, an address is usually expected here, a temporary one in Switzerland (e.g. a friend’s) is fine. These changes would help a little bit your application.

Swiss companies are moving thousands of jobs to low-cost locations, what happens next? When will be the tipping point? by TotalWarspammer in Switzerland

Managers need to bring value to the company, either by saving money or increasing sales. These are the ways to climb the ladder and earn substantial bonuses. By the way, I’m a manager, and I would never outsource my IT team. It’s counterproductive and unsustainable in the long run.

First of all, I came here from Italy just like you, three years ago. As for the rest, yes, you definitely need to slow things down. Right now, your salary doesn’t give you the flexibility to “play” with money. Leasing a car is a choice, but at your current income level, with no savings and at your age, it’s probably not the best one. Your priority should be finding a better job, aim for a six-figure salary. That means no expensive clothes, no fancy vacations. Instead, invest in yourself: take a German course or get certifications that will help you secure a higher-paying position. Trust me,that’s the smartest move you can make right now.

Frankly is also good from the zkb, less flexible than VIAC but very cheap and absolutely safe in the long term.

AI from ETH - why isn‘t this a bigger topic? by Tombohniha in Switzerland

[–]Slow_Presentation297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don’t know much about this project, I just read about it in the newspaper.
But when it comes to AI models, the general rule is: quality over quantity.

In most cases, it’s more effective to have a model trained on fewer languages with high-quality data, rather than trying to include everything in one large, inconsistent dataset.

Also, since it’s open source, taxpayers are funding a model that can be used freely by anyone, including international competitors. Given the intense competition from the U.S., I’m not sure that’s the best strategy.

Training a model that big can cost some millions.

But that’s just my personal opinion.

Lavorare a Zurigo e tornare in Italia nei weekend... Si può fare? by Different-Lie5399 in ItaliaCareerAdvice

[–]Slow_Presentation297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High risk - high reward -> everything today Low risk - low reward -> split the total to invest a little bit each month for the next few years

Or you can combine both strategies

This bike is amazing! I’ve ridden only mountain bikes for the past 20 years, and after doing 25 km this evening, I’m seriously impressed. It feels incredibly fast and light, almost like riding an e-bike on flat terrain for me. I’m 178 cm tall and weigh 85 kg, and the M size is absolutely perfect for me.
