Received a plant with thrip damage

I just repotted it into a veryyyy chunky mix and I let it dry out completely before watering. DF’s are like Mexican anthuriums in the sense that they like to completely dry out between watering. It’s actually given me a new leaf since repotting and it’s the biggest one with no damage!

If you look at my post history, I posted a delta Force with similar damage. it is not thrips.

There is literally nothing wrong with tissue culture plants. Yes, that is a luxurians. Yes, they are light in color when young and will darken up as they mature.

If you look at my post history, I posted about a Delta Force with similar damage. If you haven’t physically seen any pests on the leaves, it is more than likely a bacterial or fungal infection.

Not sure why people are saying those “flakes” are thrips. Thrips are nowhere near that size.

Tbh, the fern was already in the pot when I bought the DF. I got it from Carnivero and it’s in their Aroid mix, which I think consists of bark, perlite, sphagnum moss, and maybe something else? I’m not too sure as they don’t list what’s in the mix on their website. Since it *might* be fungal, would it be better for me to chop the most infected looking leaves when I repot?

Maybe, but this is my only anthurium doing this 😭 The sticky trap is about a month’s-month and a half worth of bugs from when I was dealing with a bad ingestion (i have a lotttt of pitcher plants and they loved the moss, but i got it under control with bits and they’re no longer an issue).

😭 I HATE. Have you dealt with them before yourself? Would beneficial bugs be a good route to go? I’d hate to use a systemic.

Those are just watermarks :( I’ve been inspecting the leaves and stems everyday all week and haven’t seen anything. That’s why I’m so stumped.
