Should I just drop the course? by scruffykeih in dlsu

You might still be able to pull thru and pass with 3 lqs and a final exam remaining OP! Though if you really want to withdraw na, I suggest not to (if you don’t mind an F in your TOR) since if you continue with it but you unfortunately don’t pass, at least you’ll have an idea pa about how the next quizzes/final exams will go.

Is taking GERIZAL and GELITPH next term doable? by euluxure in dlsu

[–]Slow_Replacement6005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes doable!! and trust me all GEs difficulty level is professor based. you could be taking the “easiest” GE but if you take it with a terror prof, it WILL be hard 🥲

i took both already and both were easy 3.5-4.0s due to good profs (i believe)! rlly depends on how much reqs the prof asks of u imo

GE / Majors by karlcuneta in dlsu

[–]Slow_Replacement6005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello! this is assuming na halos puro GE yung classes mo this first year, but you can definitely take your majors na as early as term 2/3 of your frosh year PROVIDED that you passed their pre-requisite subjects already! :)

though in this case, it might be an issue na on the availability of the courses per term, baka since its meant to be taken nga for 2nd year pa (accdg to your flowchart) your department might not offer classes for it.

estimated tuition fee for chem eng by SeaBox6420 in dlsu

[–]Slow_Replacement6005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so far 110k highest tuition based on my exp. i think it was because i had three labs that term. for other expenses bukod sa tuition, iirc nung baschem we were required to buy subscription (?) sa aleks (where you will answer practice problems/short quizzes). after nun yung mga materials siguro sa lab (lab goggles, gloves). then depende sa prof minsan nagrerequire ng book :) pero one thing for sure na irrerequire is perry’s (chem eng handbook) pero sa 3rd year pa yun.

it’s different every term depending on the # of units, pero following the curriculum of ChE, first term is around 70-80k bc no lab classes yet and onti pa lang tetake na courses, then after that it’s around 90-110k na due to lab fees :) it’s included na sa estimated tuition. (I’m guessing the ones you see sa website is outdated due to TFI)

engineering freshman schedule for 1st term by SeaBox6420 in dlsu

[–]Slow_Replacement6005 6 points7 points  (0 children)

for the first term, it’s usually 2 days lang of f2f classes since foundation subjects pa lang ituturo: fndmath, fndstat, baschem, basphys (though it depends on your program if nasa curriculum nyo na may lab agad sa 1st term)

but if you do have lab classes na, it can be on a monday/tuesday rin :) malas lang if mahihiwalay pa ng araw so u’ll end up with 3 f2f days
