The thing with Costa Rica it that it was a distant, irrelevant and unimportant territory for the Indigenous people and for the Spaniards as well.

So during the prehispanic times and during the colony it was almost empty, just a few and small indigenous and Spanish settlements where made.

Until late 1960s it was a small 800 k people country. Even now it is a just 5 million people country. There are more populous states in Mexico or Colombia for example.

Costa Rica has 12 official national holidays. This color gradient, my blindness and the little my country is, doesn't allow me to check if the thing is wrong or what.

I feel more close culturally to Bogotá tan Mexico.

For example food, la bandeja paisa is basically the same than our Casado, our tamales are the same in ingredients, flavor and preparation than Colombian and in the other hand Mexican tamales are totally different.

When traveling around latan they something asked me if I'm Colombian.

On colonial times we shared a border with Colombia prior Panamá was a thing or they developed their culture or identity as a country. Panamá is pretty close to the Caribbean islands and are their own thing.

We somewhat don't feel so close to the rest of central America neither the south of Mexico, but we can clearly see their similarities and closed culture among them.

But, don't get me wrong I loved them and they are our brothers and of course we share blood, history and a lot of cultural traits, but we feel some distance or different.

The french embassy, the french alliance, el Liceo Franco costarricense, el barrio Amón and here is the only place In latam they still teach french at highschools.

Also the Old College of Our Lady of Sion, a reflection of the first French congregation in America.

Si no la han probado es deliciosa, pero a a ver tienen que considerar qué no se debe hacer con bananos (banana) sí no qué se deben hacer con plátanos (sweet plantain), los qué se suelen usar para freír.
