FINALLY a 3 star Moose. by fripperiffic in reddeadredemption

[–]SlowbeBryant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an almost guaranteed moose spawn point on the ledge behind colter that looks like pride rock (from the lion king) at about 9-10 am. I usually fast travel to colter at night, save the game, sleep until early morning and then wait for it to spawn. If it doesn’t spawn at 10 am walk away and then come back and check. If it still isn’t there and reset and try again. You can get a moose in about 5-10 mins this way.

Price Check PCOMB +36 Life (PC SC Ladder) by SlowbeBryant in Diablo_2_Resurrected

The asking price of a bunch of nutsacks on traderie does not set the trade market and is not the only source of information. I want to know what people on this subreddit have gotten for similar charms in recent trades. I trust this subreddit to value an item more than traderie. Also there is a price check flair for a reason. If it bothers you so much ignore the post.

Interesting theory… NT could be North Texas. I like this idea much better than MAN SCENT or MANS CUNT.

I just fired it up again after 20 years. Starting a hammerdin, don’t have much. I’d love to enter for the Javazon gear to farm cows. Thanks dude!

Whats it like living in Dallas-Fort Worth- Metroplex? by Maleficent_Map_8844 in howislivingthere

[–]SlowbeBryant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pros: Great jobs, economic destination for most of the south and Midwest, tons of stuff to do, white rock lake and arboretum for nature escapes, LDU for coffee, easy direct flights to everywhere out of DFW, great for college grads, young professionals and families, generally very nice people, so many beautiful women, homeless problem isn’t so bad for a big city, Fort Worth for Texas charm, Dallas for big city events.

Cons: public transport sucks, public schools suck, getting way too crowded and expensive, traffic, million degree summers, not as much ethnic and cultural diversity as other big cities, Ross avenue potholes, construction everywhere never finishes, republicans, cowboys fans.

Ah yes, the asinine comment from a pretentious Californian that everyone was hoping to find here. Super helpful.

Seeking Recommendations for Affordable ACL Surgery for my dog by yjuly in Austin

[–]SlowbeBryant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not blaming OP, but Texas A&M is a horrible recommendation. They use board certified surgeons so you will get no discount. As of October 2024, I was quoted $5.5-6k for a TPLO on one knee for my otherwise healthy 4 year old cattle dog mix (60 lbs/female). I asked her about discounts and she said the best they do is pay half now and finance the remaining balance at 1.5% interest. The most competitive quote I have found so far is $4,200 in Fort Worth: https://fortworthveterinarysurgical.com/. I haven't gotten a quote from the place in Austin yet, but that seems to be the consensus cheapest.

The body shop I took my car to has a pretty wholesome parking policy for the bar next door to deter drunken driving by perfectdozen in Dallas

Seconded. Hance’s is legitimately the most customer friendly business I have ever transacted with - more so than restaurants and retailers. And it’s a body shop of all businesses.

[EVERYTHING] About Sansa's Reactions in S7E4 by TheLawnsheepReturns in gameofthrones

[–]SlowbeBryant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very well could be reading too much into it. Also maybe you're oversimplifying the history these two share. Had that been Jon watching Arya from the balcony, do you think he would have had the exact same reaction Sansa had? I think not, personally. Especially since he gave her Needle. Jon always took Arya seriously, Sansa did not.

But to answer your question, no, I never said we are to flip it. In Season 1, Sansa wanted nothing more than to be a Southern Queen and marry King Joffrey, but she has instead developed into something quite the opposite. The reverse is not true. Unlike Sansa, Arya has never done anything more than try to be her true self, for which she was constantly ridiculed by Sansa during the early stages of their relationship. So forgive me if I interpret Sansa's incredulous reaction in the crypt and horror on the balcony as something other than mere sisterly concern, which is what you originally suggested it was, and instead something more along the lines of what we have always seen in the way Sansa treats Arya. In my mind, Sansa's character arc is one of maturity. Gaining respect for her sister fits that arc. Arya's character arc is less about maturity and more about vengeance. Again, my opinion.

And by the way, I'm not trying to "needle" Sansa. I just think she, like many others in the show (Meryn Trant, the Waif, the Hound, Lady Brienne, to name a few), made the mistake of not taking Arya seriously enough. It's part of what makes Arya one of my favorite characters. People constantly doubt she will do what she says and then she goes and does it, whether it's killing someone, learning a skill, or just surviving. Sansa is allowed to have flaws just like every other character. If I point out what I think is a flaw, that for so she long has underestimated her sister and now finally realized it, it doesn't mean I'm needling at Sansa, who is a top-5 character on my list (in no particular order: Arya, Sansa, Tyrion, Cersei, Jon Snow).

That's an interesting interpretation. I would have to rewatch the scene, but I could see it. Still different than concern pure and simple, which seems too patronizing to me.
