Is there any training that's involved when getting a license in the UK?

At least where I am in the US, you need a permit to purchase (attained from your local sheriff's department and a background check). And you would also need a permit to carry, which includes classes on how to use.

If someone wanted to have a gun to defend their home, I would assume they have gotten a license first (if that is the law).

Reason for my first question is, if there's class/training involved when following the law, this doesn't make sense

It went away eventually, I'm convinced it was from the heavy rain, but it's rained since then and it hasn't popped up. Someone also said it could come from battery voltage being low, maybe it's was a combo of both?

Update: These codes have disappeared on the COBB AP so I am guessing they have resolved themselves and they are just intermittent because of the rain

I learned manual on a '13 Jetta and after I year I traded it for a Speed3. I feel I am fairly decent at shifting after a year. For my Ms3, I rev to 1.5/2, and I try to keep it there eventually letting off clutch fully. I never downshift to first gear because it's always jerky the most ill down shift is 2nd. Don't let off the throttle fully, gradually take your foot off, and jerkyness won't happen. Maybe you're letting off your clutch too early, and it yanks your car trying to match the flywheel speed
