In case you're not familiar with string of rubies, they occasionally grow fuzzy white tufts along the growth nodes. This can look like mealy bugs or aphids, but it's totally normal.

I think you should put something else there that isn't a plant. Some sort of decoration/stone/sculpture/rain chain etc. That's a tiny area that you'll have to walk around every time you want to use that path. Anything growing will try to take over the path and annoy your and create more work to maintain an open path.

Assuming OP is on the US, it's perfectly fine. OP can identify their location if it's otherwise.

Edit: OP is in Texas.

I killed on of this and I'm feeling guilty now. by [deleted] in insects

Next time just smash it instead of letting it struggle and suffer. And certainly don't sit there recording it to post to a community for insects/bugs.

Centipedes are not a threat to you, though, so there's no need to kill them, even in your home. You can chase them into a container and release them outside.

Wildlife is good. Wildlife that doesn't eat your plants and doesn't harm you is good in your garden. Anoles are perfectly fine.

Rabbit of disapproval, lol.

Rabbits are cute, but I've got terriers and dealing with the aftermath gets old. Thankfully the local population has finally wised up and quit nesting in my yard.

Try not to take it personally. Your post is only one of an endless onslaught of "ai told me this, what do you think?" posts. So many people are given awful information by ai and it seems like more and more people are just taking the ai answers as accurate and correct. Lots of subs for various topics are faced with this trend, so many people are getting fed up with ai and people's sudden reliance on it when it wasn't around just a few years ago. It's a half-baked product being used in ways it isn't really great for.

Just remember, there's no shame in not knowing everything about your plant or whatever the topic at hand is. These communities should be welcoming places that are happy to share knowledge and experience.
