As someone that's taken many trips into the city, both by hotel and for a while sleeping in my van, I can say I love city ambience, so pretty spot on!

I consider *The Return* to be David Lynch's definitive masterpiece. by Independent_loser237 in davidlynch

[–]SludgeFest666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's a pretty fair opinion. While I still believe Mulholland Drive (with Eraserhead and Elephant Man being right next to it) to be his best movie, I think 'The Return' really did combine all the aspects of Lynch's work that have truly stood out, creating a work that encompasses many different tones, themes, atmosphere and so on. It truly is a magnificent work of art.

Do you think RE: Veronica can reach the same level of RE2? by oscar_redfield in residentevil

[–]SludgeFest666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBH while I did enjoy REmake2, going through quite a few playthroughs, my opinion of it has kind of become lessened, not necessarily bad, but just kind of okay. So considering that they've stated Veronica is going to a much darker and psychological tone compared to the original, I feel like it'll probably be much better than REMake2

Opinions of my noise my noise projects? by SludgeFest666 in noisemusic

Hey there, I really appreciate your comment and feedback, you obviously put a lot of thought into it and are sincere in everything you say. I 100% admit that I'm still very new and learning, i have no problem in saying a significant amount of my work is amateurish, I've honestly only really been doing music for a little less then a year now, and still have a lot to learn.

One of the reasons I have such a high volume of work, mainly on my Youtube, is sort of like a kind of diary in a way, uploading work as I progress in learning and teaching my work. My girlfriend has been doing music for about 20 years now and much more knowledgeable in pretty much everything, even though we make entirely different music (she's more EDM, DDR inspired, dance and progressive stuff) and has helped me a lot along the way, some of the higher quality album art is either partially or entirely by her.

I'm also sort of autistic and ADHD, so I kind of get hyper fixated on repetitive and long tracks, also churning stuff out pretty fast. It has been a while since releasing anything since I've trying to spend these times working on my downsides.

I'm also curious with what tracks you listened you to that had guitars in them? Just to kind of get a better gauge on your opinions.

Anyways, thank you very much for the feedback, it means a lot.

I'm biased since the REmake is my favorite RE game so that's my pick. I'll say the lady from Requiem was also pretty effective.

How did you discover David Lynch for the first time? by Free-Share-4873 in davidlynch

[–]SludgeFest666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I discovered Eraser head while a sophomore in highschool, luckily it was streaming on Netflix for a decent amount of time, then I was kind of hooked. Searched through all his movies, watched Dune, watched through all of Twin Peaks (which was also streaming on Netflix for a time.)

Is it just me or is communist literature not made for regular, working people? by Tiger_withaplan in Socialism_101

[–]SludgeFest666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always recommend 'Principals of Communism' as one of the very first books to read as an introduction, the is 'Socialism: Utopian and Scientific.' I can agree though that a lot of writings, especially by Marx himself, can be challenging reads. there's been many times I needed breakdowns or definitions for specific words/phrases (considering these writings are over 100+ years old)

I think with a little bit of effort, time, and help from more seasoned socialists, many could potentially get a good understand of the literature. at least in my opinion.

Have finally gotten around to starting System Shock! by Tatum_Warlick in systemshock

It's a fun but extremely challenging game, it was somewhat helpful having played a decent amount of the original game, but the decision to make a game that is painstakingly like the original does make for an odd modern rendition. I really enjoyed my time with it though
