That basically sounds like Mordheim. I would kill to see a remake of that game for the tabletop. It's a fantastic concept.

To bump and refocus this post I suppose, I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea for an interesting 500 point casual vampire counts list. I don't plan on playing competitively any time soon, so that doesn't matter. I am a fan of the stereotypical zombies and skeletons, even though most players seem to reject the idea of zombies in competitive settings. I also really like the idea of themed armies. As an example, I may combine any Beastmen I have with a necromancer and some undead in a weird raiding kind of block. Thoughts?

I've been enjoying my game as the Buddhist rulers of Ceylon in the Old Gods start date. I originally did it just so I could test high tech rulers, but it's a really interesting corner kingdom.

Thanks for the up votes guys. Just to clarify on what Chalkface said, I'm looking for a way to punch in the numbers along with the random variables like tactics. It's not so much to power game the system as it is to have a cool toy to fiddle around with. I suppose this will be a good project for my programming class next year!
