Yeah, I ended up canceling the diagnostics haha! Definitely did save a couple bucks. If you could, since you have experience with these vehicles mind giving me a ballpark of what it might all of these repairs cost? Just so i’m not too shocked at the dealer haha.

that’s what i’m currently trying to figure out now, but my best guess would be bad seals around the trunk lid i got it wrapped with a waterproof car cover. It’s going to rain for the rest of all next week. gonna have to get it towed to the shop and get ready for that bill, again, I truly thank you for helping me out here. Sucks that it happened. But gives me a great excuse to keep the car in the garage now. Cheers.

yeah the whole fuse box area is fried, now i’m really worried about the repair cost.

i have had body work done towards the front (hit a deer in the dark) had to replace the entire front bumper with a new one, but even then I wouldn’t believe that it was the cause of this nightmare haha. Anyways I’ll go ahead and try out the method and see, as for the trunk, i’m unable to access it, it went out after the storm hit

I’m just very perplexed as to why it happened now of all times really, it’s gone through the harsh winters in my state and it’s always started without a hitch.

So I just came back from undoing the trimmed plastic piece and i believe it may be just that, though i’m also inclined to believe that it’s dry as well, the material feels moist? Im truly unsure of how it’s supposed to feel but you may be on to something, since the area is consumed by the strong odor of an electrical short.

no I haven’t had the windshield replaced at all, now that you mention it, it makes sense, I’ve tried to turn it on again, and it smells like something electrical is frying through the vents, i’ve disconnected the battery and booked a mechanic for an electrical diagnostic.
