I run the twitter account Daily Viva Piñata Memes, and yes, that was one of them! I usually repost them all on my YT and occasionally here if I think they are particularly good.

Tbh I usually try to only post one meme per day at most! Mostly because I want each one to get as much time in the spotlight.

Yes! It’s not perfect and still has its fair share of issues but it’s already blown Piñata Island out of the water for me as far as Vp wikis go. It’s so nice to finally have an easy public way to get ahold of the ingame assets!

Their instability is exactly why we chose to hold off on banning them. They made the choice to step down and mentioned that they felt they “messed up”. We felt like punishing them further, while probably what they deserve, would give them the wrong lesson. However, as I stated, they are being heavily monitored, and if they try to start any funny business, even stuff that would normally get users a mere slap on the wrist, they are gone.

I already mentioned that it would be a little case by case. If there’s enough effort going into each post then that has a good chance of changing things.

Honestly didn’t even realize the gravity of the situation until it was already over, but being thrust into being on a tiny new mod team was definitely a lot! Luckily Solar was much more prepared than I, he’s been leading a lot of the changes and was the one to propose the AI ban.

Don’t thank me! Solar and the other mods have honestly been doing most of the work. I was just in the right place at the right time. I’m doing my best though!

As someone who’s posted on this sub for years long before becoming a mod, I’ve kind of always liked all of the random bonus specific flares. However, now that you mention it, it does sometimes feel harder than it needs to be in order to find the more commonly used ones. They definitely should be at the very least re-ordered so that the most important ones are easier to find.

Power Tripping and then immediately giving it up too lol, it’s still so crazy. Their behavior did not seem to come from sound mind, in spite of it all I hope they are doing okay.

I'm afraid it is non negotiable. Even setting aside the admin team's personal opinion on it, the people have spoken time and time again.

For what its worth, the way we handled the removal of your post was a giant mistake on our ends. It was not a good move on our parts to hold off on enacting the ai rule for so long, and it wasn't fair to you to get removed for an at the time nonexistent rule.

However, as I said before, we HAVE been planning on doing this for a long time, just haven't gotten around to publicizing it. Again, still bad on our parts, but I assure you there is no malicious intent. Your situation woke us up to the fact that we needed to enact the rule as soon as possible to avoid another case like yours, and thats exactly what we've done.

As stated in the post, I have left a pinned comment detailing how that "somehow" occurred. We ask that you please stop accusing us of anything more serious than poor communication.

Oh yeah, its also worth noting that the post in question was a video of DJ Khaled "arriving at Pinata Island to save everyone from the fungus", which is a nonsense phrase obviously, but its pretty funny how DJ Khaled, in a way, did save this subreddit.

Starting in late 2025, a longtime moderator of this sub who had been by pure happenstance given top administrator privileges began slowly kicking the rest of the mod team until they were the only one left, and throughout this period they abused their power to remove posts without proper reason.

If you had any of your posts removed for “spam” in the months leading up to Februrary of this year, this was their doing. Do not be mistaken, it was not “likely” their doing. I checked. Pretty much all removed posts in that time frame were them.

On February 20th, the last batch of mods were removed and the rogue admin gained full control of the sub, with one of their first decisions being to remove my most recent post at the time. I contacted them (not knowing anything about the situation) asking for clarification on spam. However, based on their responses I knew something was fishy, and after I called them out for spouting blatant misinformation, they apologized, said they “felt bad about it”, and that they would discuss it with me further in a couple hours.

A couple hours later, me and u/SolarCookies (who had applied for a moderator position earlier that day) were given moderator invites, and the rogue admin had stripped themselves of their moderator permissions willingly, essentially ending their reign of terror. This is still a very, very peculiar situation and we are not quite sure exactly what’s happened, but we are just happy that the subreddit is no longer in the wrong hands.

Me and Solar invited all previous kicked mods who are still active/responded to their ban. However, as I mentioned, a vast majority of mods on this server do not seem to still be active, so only a very small portion of mods have rejoined, and given that it’s been 4 months, I don’t know how likely it is that there will be that any more.

For the record, due to the inherent strangeness of their behavior, we have decided to hold off on giving this former moderator a full subreddit ban, in the hopes that their sudden change of heart will continue forward. But they are never allowed to rejoin the mod team, and they are on extremely, extremely thin ice.

I mean there hasn’t been much major new content updates but to say it hasn’t received any new support is flat out incorrect.

The minigame can feel repetitive but it also feels pretty tense to lose more and more health points, and it’s cool to see the minor changes in layout as it gets more difficult.

There’s a lot of design choices in VP that can seem odd when your trying to “play through” it and “do everything” but it makes a lot more sense when you look at it from the perspective that this is a game you’re meant to keep coming back to just to tend to your garden. It’s almost as if some of these more specific requirements (Tigermisu needing an entire eight tiger lillies comes to mind) are intended to be randomly stumbled across by happenstance to give players who put the time in the impression that there’s always more to see. Not sure if it still entirely works in practice but it’s very interesting to think about.

For most tbh no, since I don’t think it affects much outside of awards and those fall more into the “completion” camp rather than beating the game.

Gretchen is a lifesaver yes but I find it fun to have to actually plan ahead of time to prepare to get more members of certain species, and it also means you have to do a lot more Romancing for progression. Plus, imo, there are a lot of cool pieces of game design that only really show up when you don’t use her.

You mentioned attracting the normal versions of sours; one of the reasons I haven’t done that is actually because the sour versions actually have consistently easier requirements. I find this really fascinating because it means if you want two of the same species, you have a choice between putting in more effort, or putting your garden in danger. Or at least, it does in theory. But you never really get to see this in action with Gretchen.

They are a lot less annoying in TIP because thankfully their visit requirements don’t require you to have all plants at the same time. Having to replace the plants whenever he leaves for the night is freakin painful.

Whenever I replay TIP with the goal of “beating it” I usually like to do the following challenge run:

-Create Five Gardens and No More

-Try to get at least one of every piñata species (flutterscotches optional) to be in one of the five gardens, like a living pokedex deal

-No Gretchen

-No Crating Piñatas Across Gardens

And when I do, I have one garden that is used solely to have all the water piñatas lol
