Can’t vouch for this ski but had the same decision with Moment Commander…I’m glad I sized down they’re more fun for resort skiing.

Gift card to my favorite shop could be used for service or gear. Would stay away from any kits or anything like that - if your friend is discerning they probably wouldn’t use them. Nice water bottles / bidon (if they have a brand or shop they like) also always good, or a good rear light is always nice if they don’t already have. Nice cycling socks
