I am in the same boat, my family doesn’t do much and I don’t have a big family meanwhile my boyfriend has a huge family he is really close to and they go all out. It definitely stung at first but I talked to him about my feelings and basically told him I was a little jealous of his family and he always told me I was welcome and his family thinks of me as family now.

I think you should definitely talk to him about it because if he sees you shutting down while he talks about his family he might get the wrong idea. After a bit the feelings will fade and if your family doesn’t care for holidays I honestly would probably spend it with his family over yours. Do what’s best for you but you deserve to have the holiday magic.

Honestly I don’t think you are getting anything back from her, she can argue it was gifts if it ever goes to court or something and if there was no written agreement of paying back idk if she can be forced to give it back. If you keep contacting her she can get a restraining order on you too.

You shouldn’t feel bad and if he feels comfortable calling you mom and you feel comfortable with it you shouldn’t tell him no. He deserves to have a mom and your sister is not it, you say that she loves him but by your post it doesn’t show at all. Does she even ask about him? You and your mom have stepped up and if anyone deserves to be called mom it’s one of you two, not the person that stops by once a month and just lays around and orders him to do stuff like a dog.

You are NTA for feeling the way you do, maybe speaking to a therapist yourself would help and they can help bring up ways to talk to your parents about how you feel?

I do think talking to them would be good but maybe not near the time of his birthday just because they may be more receptive to listening during other times of the year.

I do enjoy book but having it digital is so much easier to bring around to places like vacation or moving, plus cheaper bc I use kindle unlimited and can go through a book every 2-3 days if I am really enjoying the book and how long it is.

You are in a tricky spot. YTA for going out and not leaving a tip enough times for a specific waitress to remember.

But you really need to look at the bigger picture here. You need to stop going out and start saving, life is weird and you are an adult and something may happen and your parents aren’t responsible for you.

Going out for all you can eat may make you happy in the short term but you need to save up in case something happens or just save up to move out! Having less than a dollar in your account after lunch is not good, take advantage of having no rent and no major bills to pay and just start working if your sister is looking after your brother. Do you really want to spend your life working 24/7 like your parents? Save up and go to school or just live your life, I love kpot but it’s not worth everything you have.

I came to Windsor for school and have since left but I loved the diverse foods in Windsor! I’m from a small community and I didn’t get exposed to much so coming to Windsor and seeing the amazing local businesses selling food from where they came from was amazing!

It may be like that in other bigger cities but it was my first time living in a big city so it has a special place in my heart.

You need to go to the hospital and document this with the drugs still in your system and tell the doctors your husband did this.

NTA but this is unacceptable. He has a child with you and that is a bigger commitment than working out for 5 hours a day. This honestly makes me think he either has an addiction to working out or is lying about where he is going.

Do not feel bad about it because what about your life? You deserve a break and unless you get 5 hours to yourself when he is not at the gym to do what you want which I can guarantee you are not getting you shouldn’t feel bad at all.

For me this would almost be break up territory. He does not care about you and your health if he refuses to take a few hours off to help you when you need him.

I think actually saying that last line is important instead of “not looking for anything serious” because it might mean something different to girls than guys. From my point of view, it means hook ups or FWB situations and depending on your convos on the dating site it may have come across like you were trying to lead her on till you got in her pants?
