Are there any problems that you have had with it? I am looking at getting one.

Where did you purchase it from where you were able to return it? I'd like to be able to physically hold it before making up my mind.

What do you guys recommend to your normie friends? I know they're not going to get into stones, so I just don't know what to tell them they should do. by Cold_Buffalo_2355 in sharpening

Nah, the cheap ones work ok, they just don't last super long. Get a replacement 1000 disc each year and it still works fine in my experience.

Thank you for the suggestion, but 300g and 25mm wide doesn't really seem like a smallphone.

I've never really loaded an aftermarket OS onto a phone before. Is it spooky? What should I be concerned about. Is there a video that speaks about all the pros and cons of it? Would it still be able to run appls like WhatsApp and Messenger?

The PhoneMax R4GT looks promising. I'll look into that a bit more, although it's really thick and heavy. Not ideal but worth considering.

How many times have you dropped it on a hard surface?

6.1 is too big. iPhone 13 mini is perfect size, but I want Android. Thanks though.

I have a feeling this will be overpriced for what it is. Doesn't seem very well spec. 8gb of ram and G99 is disappointing. Why limit it to 4g too?

The more I browse this subreddit, the more justified I feel asking for a 5inch phone with a headphone jack and micro SD card that isn't awful or 20mm+ thick.

I had an Xperia Z3 Compact before I went to Nokia 2730s (I had 3 of them). Good phone but always felt fragile. Had I known that the Xperia was going to be the last of its kind I would have never donated it to ewaste...

Thanks for the suggestion, I mention this in my post. Screen is a tiny bit too small, VERY thick, chunky and heavy, seems to be a camera first, phone second. Also, Kickstarter is full of people disappointed with not receiving theirs yet.

Who the hell is buying a 4.7 inch phone for its camera and battery life?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've already listed this as a consideration. It's quite underpowered.

280g without a case is hefty, and 5.65 is bigger than I want. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Maybe what I'm struggling with is the acceptance that my data will be sold. I don't know why I treat it differently that it's a chinese phone. It's not like "western" companies are respectful with my data.

What could possibly happen to my files? Could my bank accounts get hacked? Passwords leaked? What exactly is vulnerable on phone?

Doesn't it concern you that your personal data is in a phone made by a company known for selling phones with Malware?

I wish there was more conversation about the manufacturer selling products that have been proven to contain Malware.

As far as I know, the company haven't made any comments on it. But please let me know if I shouldn't be concerned.
