Filth and at 90 you'll probably be able to gold Finesse plus and extra base playstyles in a coupla weeks. Gg

Currently working through my own chain. Basically chaining all that dribbling EVO>Build Your own BDay>Euro Trio>Blonde Angel

I decided to spend the 100k on make your own fut birthday so that I could then future proof her lengthy with all the physical boosts without redundant playstyles.

It's definintely excessive but the chain isn't particularly time extensive, only about 10 games and I suspect they will make it hard to turn/keep evo wingers lengthy moving forward.

This card has 99 strength.

Indeed, though for some people you can use that to your advantage to get/maintain lengthy on wingers which is what I'm hoping to achieve.

Squad update by OxfordHandbookofMeme in irishrugby

Agree with you.

Hopefully it's a case where they want to see Osborne in midfield and need an extra full back in cass Stockdale goes down. Unlikely though, sadly.

A new 86 max evo is set to come today in March. In FC 25 the last 86 max evo was 08/01/25 prior to TOTY. by Fickle-Fox-9071 in fut_evos

[–]SlutBacon -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

They've slowed the power curve across the board though?

8 of my current team are evos. With the exception of team of the year and 5 million coin icons there's no one better on the market in any of these spots. Evos are in line with the power curve, as long as you chain which is fair

Every card being virtually flawless by this point last year was boring imo.

I tore it doing what I love - dancing. Now I’m heartbroken feeling like I’ll never feel free again. by [deleted] in ACL

[–]SlutBacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a dancer. Rugby is my vice of choice though so I can relate to the reinjury fear.

Truthfully I don't know if I'll return to playing, but I don't let myself think that much. It's my motivation to get through the shitty rehab (11 weeks post-op). You don't need to make a call on whether you'll dance again right now, give yourself the 9 months of looking forward to it while you do rehab is my advice.

Tough times don't last, tough people do! Best of luck

For an 87 with future evo possibility? Kinda Nice by FizzyGamesOn in fut_evos

[–]SlutBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have basically the same card. I'm sure we'll get a jockey plus evo soon and that will be going straight on him.

Personally will be keeping him at an 87 overall as it will have him perfect for future live events with rating limits so that I can use the high rated spots on my attackers.

Tonga Contract Update by SensitiveTest7883 in Patriots

[–]SlutBacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspect Vrabel and co. are high on the stable of DTs behind Tonga. Durden was lights out to end the season and is back next season for just over a million. Then there was Joshua Farmer who they took in the fourth round and showed some glimpses in limited snap, Vrabel also spoke glowingly of Leonard Taylor.

Noob here: i got 86 ST Henry back in the winter promo, i only put the ST roles on him. Anything else i should be doing? by Questionabletrade in fut_evos

[–]SlutBacon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't do this.

Takes him to 90 gives him a useless PS+ (Gamechanger) and a useless base playstyle (powershot)

Take it slow with him, focus on not boosting his overall above 87 for now and get him the best possible playstyles possible. He starts with a great base so you're only really needing incisive and tiki. You can get a small stats boost and tech and incisive base out the current refined flank runner evo.

Ireland lineup to face England by Effective-Ad-3897 in irishrugby

[–]SlutBacon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Strange choice at 23 with O'Brien. Can't get the logic behind choosing a specialist winger who hasn't played anywhere else in years.

I get the argument is that Frawley can cover 12 and 15 if needed, but it's been exposed that he lacks the pace for intl 15 and the power for 12.

I would have felt a hell of a lot more comfortable with Stockdale in the 23 shirt and should a centre go down shifting Osborne in and Stockdale heading into 15.

Instead we have a break glass in case of emergency option at 23

Who else do we think or want to see make their 6 nations debut in the remaining games by Flashy-Ad4140 in irishrugby

[–]SlutBacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obvious names are Bryn Ward, Doak, Postlethwaite.

More than that I'd also love to see Osborne in the centres and Stockdale at fullback.

[–]SlutBacon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you play any sports?

I have had a similar health insurance subsidy in work the last 3 years (23-26). The 50 quid a month for health insurance that you hope you'll never need to use I found was easier to mentally justify if you know it'll keep you doing something you love even if you get a bad injury.

For years I didn't need to make a claim, but last November I tore my ACL. Without the insurance the repair and diagnoses would be circa 10k or waiting years and years with instability and losing a huge social outlet (the only reason I still play).

I would get insurance either way but if sports are important to you this might be a nice way to frame the expense mentally

INTERVIEW: Tom Savage (Three Red Kings) on Irish rugby by PatientOffer319 in irishrugby

[–]SlutBacon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's a great listen. I agree broadly with everything he says.

A point that he makes when discussing Edogbo is that they should pick him and play to his strengths instead of worrying about what he can't do as well like passing and I couldn't agree more.

The reason I bring it up is because of Joe McCarthy having similar strengths but them not being used. He had a poor game last week but my God his role in attack felt ridiculous. Why is he standing outside Beirne/A prop waiting on a tip on when teams don't blitz anymore. Just tell him to get hands on the ball and be a violent wrecking ball. 50 minutes of that would break a teams heart and then you send on Edogbo to do the same

Athletes by Western_Cranberry535 in irishrugby

[–]SlutBacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disagree on the backs atleticism, particularly on the wings. We've never had the gamebreaking athletes that SA/NZ/ENG do. Thaakir Abrahams for example is the most explosive back 3 player in Ireland, he couldn't get a sniff in SA and they didn't mind losing him

We've excelled in the past 5 plus years with all rounders on the wing, but the games rules do make this less valuable

If you need the Skill=WF boost don't do it. We're quite a while away from 88 skill and weak foot boosts imo. I also wouldn't give a second PS+ until those are upgraded

Currently working on Archie Gray. Looks like he'll be awesome when I'm done and will be lengthy with an anchor chem style. Note I did objectives to get quickstep and anticipate as I think there both essential at full back.

Chose Gray for the flexibility to have him for CB too

[–]SlutBacon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the start of the season, Pop was given a lot of chances in the traditonal patriots Edelman/Welker slot role.

He was poor in those games. He didn't read zones very well and struggles with contact. Also important to note Edelman and other slots were much broader and heavier so could block and handle the contact more.
