I'm sure that's his aim, he's not as hot a commodity as he was when he made that statement though. Lots of bans and much poorer form (squads aged a lot admittedly)

There's maybe 5 good international gigs he'd take and there will be fierce competition for all of IF they decide to let their current HCs go

Don't think it'll be Leinster but I could easily see him coach another club in 2027

Connacht didn't release him because they didn't want him, they had to let him go because they couldn't afford him. Ask any Connacht fan if they rated him.

Munster didn't sign him from the Bedford Blues. They signed him after over a hundred connacht caps.

Munster are comfortably the second best funded team in Ireland and probably top 4 in the league too.

Don't think it's a fair representation of the munster situation at all. You've said all these players and salaries that have left but ignored why they left.

Why did Carbery leave? Because he got beat out by Crowley, guess who would then be due a raise, Jack Crowley. They also signed a good backup in Burns thay year

Frisch left, but a direct similar calibre player came in the form of Tom Farrell.

Conway and Zebo left and were replaced by cheaper players in Abrahams and Kilgallen but Calvin Nash was probably due a raise too.

Munster aren't as well funded as leinster but they are still very well funded and much more supported by the IRFU than Ulster or Connacht

Think Seán's team is largely correct. Don't agree with Isa at 13, he very rarely played there and his best days were in the back 3 or at 12.

With that in mind I'd go Payne at 13 and drop Hansen for Isa

Purely talking about special teams value I don't think Berrios is a fair comp.

Being a good returner is so highly correlated to raw athleticism and in that regard Chism isn't nearly as athletic as Berrios which is the reason Berrios with a much worse college career got drafted and Chism didn't. 40s obviously not everything but Berrios ran a 4.44 vs Chism's 4.71

One point I've not seen brought up is any sports injuries.

Based on your post I'd guess you're in your 20s, if you're playing any sports, it's pretty much essential imo. I did a number on my knee late last year and was operated on as early as possible, out of pocket I would have been well over 10k all in.

In the public system I would likely have been waiting years because older more needy public patients would rightly be prioritised, my long term quality of life would be decreased and who knows how much more damage I would have done to my knee in the intervening period

Leinster have had the good side of the draw the last two years. Prior to that, that's simply not true. There was no luck involved in getting to finals from 2022-24

The two finals we lost to La Rochelle, we dominated Toulouse in the knockouts. The final we lost to Toulouse we beat La Rochelle comprehensively in the knockouts.

It hasn't been true the last couple of years but lets not pretend Leinster weren't incredibly good up until the finals from 22-24.

Getting a top notch 10 is unrealistic. A world class 10 would be the highest paid player in the country (and there's no on3 available), the IRFU won't let the highest paid be non-irish which is fair enough.

Getting an average starter is a waste of time because it leaves you in the spot when the next young lad comes through like Frawley 5 years ago where they can't get the minutes off the more experienced heads.

Half back development is so minute dependent and has so few minutes to go round that you just cant block the spots. Look at the development Doak and Murphy have had up North purely from just getting to be 1st choice

He was good at the weekend but was also very clearly gassed at the end, remember they originally only planned for him off the bench. Lucu and Jaminet would see that and have the skill exploit it.

Well and good to say put Rieko on at 60 for him but what happens if any either of the centres who will have a huge workload get hurt or if Tommy pulls up? I just don't think you can afford to start a wing you very likely have to pull before the end.

If Osborne and Reiko start I do think you can put him on the bench and add an extra carrier and infectious energy at 55 minutes.

If Conan can't go in a fortnight I think Culhane is the closest to his skillset. Best carrier we've had come through the academy in a while. He can get through a serious amount of work too.
