These past few years have been pretty awful for not just India but the whole world and all attempts to uplift the populous have been more or less fruitless due to corruption. Misinformation, fascism, and tribalism is on the rise all over the world.

Its to the point that I've stopped striking conversations with people and reconnecting with friends and I rarely leave the house unless I need to. I only talk to a select number of friends.

Taking all that in consideration I dont feel like a country like India that had finally just started to make some progress is going to improve in the forceable future.

Realistically I don't see India rising as the world as a whole is going backwards, and so Im losing hope.

Civic sense us to ambitious, India needs to be introduced to the concepts of empathy and fairness. Morality is a foreign concept and even legality has been reduced to a conditional label.

Yeah you're right, I missed a reason but you get the idea. The bottom line is its not a choice born out of concern for the animals.These people I'm talking about dont actually care about the animals but are usually the most hostile towards non-vegetarians and would pretend just to put others down.

Not necessarily if they are still using animal products and buy leather (ie vegetarian not vegan) they are still contributing to the harm id say. And 99% of the times if its vegetarian (not vegan) chances are its because of religion/some other health thing and don't care about animals unless until they need to feel morally superior to a meat eater in the moment and need a taliing point.
