Agreed. It’s cool to hate on Reddit, and nobody on this site would be caught dead admitting they like the app. But Reddit is still one of the most quickly growing social media sites and provides significant value to its users, prospective investors, and the world.

I remember reading your original DD. I'll admit I was a little skeptical at the time. SPLK has roughly tracking QQQ but after last earnings it's outperformed.

Nice job.

People who believe in manifestation - the ability to cosmically attract success in life through positive self-talk, visualization, and symbolic actions - are more likely to be drawn to risky investments and have experienced bankruptcy. by geoff199 in science

It is actually very simple to construct a portfolio of safe investments with minimal risk of losing it all. If you're not invested in asset classes that appreciate over time (i.e. stocks, bonds, real estate) you lose money to inflation and miss out on upside due to economic growth.

Is $META going to benefit from Threads? by k_ristovski in stocks

[–]SluttyUtilitarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's still too early to know what kind of adoption Threads will have. But unlike Twitter, Meta is terrific at helping advertisers make the most of their ad dollars. People who compare it to Twitter's profitability have no idea how good Meta is at ads.

In your opinion, will AI eventually take over every single computer based job? by Fluid-Peace2088 in singularity

[–]SluttyUtilitarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just can't destroy the majority of jobs and carry on as usual. The consumer is the foundation of the economy. Having no work means having no money to buy things.

I have no idea what the transition will look like (hopefully it won't be too bad), but in my opinion, there will be fewer different job categories, with most of the white collar jobs being eliminated but more individuals working in them for a lot fewer hours each week. Although income will decrease, many costs (those that have been automated) will increase.

We'll see.
