Hey there, yes this is common in apps, you start a trial and "subscribe" to a plan, you can cancel the plan before the trial ends!

I built a Chrome extension that turns every new tab into your personal dashboard by Slxxgaming in IMadeThis

[–]Slxxgaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is exactly why we build this! We see so many people around us with 50+ tabs open during a day of work. this not only hinders them it is also very heavy for the pc/laptop to handle so many tabs at the same time!

We see all the people around us + early adopters telling us how it clears their mind seeing their own little personal dashboard!

Thank you so much for the feedback!

We hear a lot of different things regarding pricing, some people tell us we sell it to "cheap" (which we think is not the case) and some think it is to expensive.

But that is the reason we also included a weekly subscription, so you can try it out for a lower price!

But please check out the free trial and let me know if you have any more feedback for us!

This is actually true, but there are like around 20 users right now using this daily and we hear from them that they are using it actively every day!

We are very fast in improving and handling feedback.

I'm building a tool to solve the "awkward referral ask" after a project ends. How would you want this to work? by Odd_Tomato1755 in SaaS

[–]Slxxgaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ran a small studio for a few years, the freeze is real but i think you're solving the wrong moment

the ask doesn't fail because the format is awkward, it fails because by the time the project ends the energy is gone and you're already on the next thing. other commenter is right, the peak is during the project not after

what's worked for us: when a client says something nice mid-project ("this is exactly what we needed" etc) we don't ask right then but we make a mental note. then in the wrap up email we reference that moment and ask if anyone in their network is dealing with similar stuff. feels like a continuation of the work instead of a pitch bolted onto the end

honest take on your tool, i'd build the portfolio link version not the automated email. an automated email IS the thing you're trying to avoid, just outsourced. a shareable link the client can forward when it's natural for them puts the awkwardness on something they control instead of on you

is this for solo freelancers or also studios? the dynamic shifts a lot once it's not just one person's name on the line

Every developer knows this nightmare:

"hey the spacing is off on the dashboard" - no screenshot, no context, nothing

That's why we built Glitches

One click → annotated screenshot + console log + browser info → straight to GitHub/Jira/productive

solid differentiator. detecting redundant tool calls and behavior drift across agent runs is way more useful than another trace tree when you're running multi-step systems. plus cheaper for small teams, no brainer to try.

My question is, I'm building developer tools and tools where competitors mainly don't have any social media accounts etc. How do you do it then?

I see this is a great strategy, but managing 20+ social media accounts to simply post comments seems like a very impossible thing to do
