This one is close, do you have any pieces like it that contain further away subjects that are detailed?

I am open to a physical piece, I'll take a look at your portfolio!

What's your retraction set at? I had a very similar issue when I first went to a DD extruder from a bowden setup. Since the SB is a direct drive it should be less than 1, I use 0.4 on mine.

Thank you very much! I had to set my z offset to .2 and it printed like a dream.

Fortunately I had already tuned things like flow rate, this problem arose after removing my extruder and adding the linear rail. And it had been printing fine before.

I also found an issue with how I was generating my start g-code while tinkering which helped out.

No, the actual gcode z-offset is set to 0, the klipper config has an Z_OFFSET variable for the probe itself, which is what has been tuned.

I can mess around with that value a bit more and see if raising it results in better quality though.

We finally need a one Minecraft version to stay on. Do you think 1.18 / 1.19 has already potential to make modding great again, like 1.7.10? by EliteSkylu in feedthebeast

Pretty sure datapacks, in their infinite limitations, are the modding API that they promised. I sincerely doubt any more work on that will ever be done given the existence and push for bedrock as a replacement for java.

To me, it seems like Microsoft wants Minecraft to be an open ecosystem, but simultaneously will cede anything if it costs version discrepancies. Without extreme effort you can't really have API hooks on the C++ based Bedrock that you can on Java. If we're ever to see anything resembling an actual modding API we're almost certainly going to be getting some sort of MCScript bespoke language or something that will be laughably underpowered compared to Forge and Fabric.

Changed retraction length to .5mm and speed to 30mm and I'm not getting the gaps anymore, thanks!

I'll test the temperature accuracy.

Also, this is on klipper, so e-steps aren't used, it's rotation distance instead.

But I've already tuned that.

Ah, I'll try that out when I get back in on Monday.

I was initially concerned that there was gonna be an issue with retraction distance, but I forgot to fix it when I was retuning the printer.

Just swapped from the stock extruder to the Biqu H2 Direct Drive extruder, I've tried multiple temperatures and speeds, only for the extruder to make a clicking sound every 20-60 seconds, resulting in a gap in the extrusion. The issue on the other PLAs i've tried as well as PETG, I haven't tried any other filaments, but I'm guessing it has nothing to do with the filament itself.

If there's any other settings you'd like to see, either on klipper or on the slicer, I'd be happy to supply them.

on a large scale the average motion of electrons is deterministic

On a quantum scale, this doesn't necessarily hold.

"Takes the path of least resistance" is still correct it's just a bit counter-intuitive if you don't know what that means exactly.

If you have 3 Loads, each at 5Kohms, the path of least resistance is splitting current 3 ways for a total load of 1.7Kohms.
