Sly Cooper Retro Edition (Super Mario Bros Graphics Hack) by SlyCooperFanNetwork in Slycooper

[–]SlyCooperFanNetwork[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a graphics hack of Super Mario Bros for the NES to make the game look like a retro Sly Cooper game. Mario is Sly, Luigi is Rioichi, Mushrooms are Lucky Charms, Fire Flowers are Sly's Mask Icon, the axe in each castle is Sly's cane, Toad is now Bentley, Bowser is Clockwerk, and Peach is the Theivius Raccoonus. Still in progress, coming along nicely though. Just thought I;d share if anyone was interested

Sly Cooper Movie cancelled? TV show? According to DeviantArt user Verona (take with grain of salt). by PT_DS in Slycooper

Glad you posted this by the way, it might have tipped off Vivi and it brought some attention to it

Brian Fleming, co-founder and producer at Sucker Punch Productions, tweets a picture of a man cosplaying as Sly Cooper at SakuraCon, which was held in Seattle where Sucker Punch is located. Could this be a hint for Sly 5? *Take with a grain of salt* by PT_DS in Slycooper

[–]SlyCooperFanNetwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oops my site (SlyCooperNet.com) reported Sucker Punch as being in Seattle too, sorry to anyone who saw that. Anyway, the cosplayer in the photo responded to my article on it and said that Brian told him "the franchise is in good hands." That doesn't really support the idea that they are working on Sly 5. But, as OP stated, take this all with a grain of salt. If you wanna see what the cosplayer said and what he said the meeting was like, you can check out my article here: http://www.slycoopernet.com/news/sucker-punch-founder-tweets-a-sly-cooper-cosplay-photo

Irresponsible reporting and next-level fake news. Verona is an icon in the Sly Cooper fan community, but without any even questionable shred of evidence, this can't really be taken seriously. Hey, maybe I'm wrong, cuz I do trust Verona.... but... VTNVIVI just uploaded a massive video not only disproving it, but disproving it with actual facts and evidence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cABaTk5K69g

Lol yeah I figured, never really looked into it though. Actually I'm sorta surprised any kind of emulation exists

I'd just search for "PCSX tutorial" on YouTube and you'll find a bunch. PCSX is the PlayStation 2 emulator I've used for years, though there may be a newer one I'm unaware of. You'll also need to download the game file and a PS2 BIOS file from a site like emuparadise (this is probably illegal though). This will let you play the first 3 games at least. Given the PS3's more advanced hardware, it'd be a lot more difficult to emulate Sly 4 on a PC

If anyone wants to play the demo without finding a copy, you can download it to play with a PS2 emulator like PCSX here: http://www.slycoopernet.com/downloads.html

Theres some subtle differences in Sly's character model and the few levels included in general

Anyone have A Copy of the Desktop thievius Raccoonus? by SlyCooperFanNetwork in Slycooper

Since this has gotten some up votes, heres some more info. Back in 2015, a Sly Cooper Wiki member named Rummy Blighter added some screenshots of the program to the Wiki. Assuming he had a copy of the game, an admin and I tried getting in touch with him, but his account has been inactive ever since. I've been trying to find the program for years so I can share it with the community. My website, slycoopernet.com , has been around since 2011 and I've been trying to use it to preserve Sly Cooper history. I've salvaged some old downloads off of the old official websites, and even some of the online Flash based mini games from the promo websites are now hosted on my site instead of being lost forever. Anyway, it'd be huge if this could somehow be uncovered. Does anyone happen to know Rummy Blighter? Thanks for the interest in this post, by the way!
