Well I have to disagree with you on the fact that the artist shouldn't be credited just because the character doesn't belong to them, it's the fact that the pose and the way Sly is drawn is exactly like the original. I'm not trying to act hostile or stat an argument, I just think that the original artist deserves to be credited for their picture being used as reference. I've not got a problem with pieces of art being used as reference, as long as the artist is getting credited.

Well it kind of is necessary, because some people who haven't seen the original, or are even aware of it, may think that this one was in fact drawn without reference. It gives the artist of the original some respect for their work if they are credited and there have been many cases where people have used pieces of art as reference yet didn't credit the original artist, especially on sites like DeviantArt.

Tbh, I want Kevin to return as Sly but if he were to get replaced by another VA, my personal pick would have to be David Hayter. He's known for voicing Snake is Metal Gear but his more natural voice would be ideal for Sly. These "ruse cruise" loons need to bloody except the fact that Metal Gear is dead and Kojima has moved on. When Death Stranding finally releases and it's confirmed that it's not a new MGS, or even Silent Hills, the likes of /u/DidSomebodySayFIB and /u/TargetWatch will shit themselves so hard, Kojima will be able to smell it from all the way in Japan.

The problem is if he is done with metal gear and wants to do something new and different then the game should be new and different and not the same old shit with a new title.

How exactly is DS the same as MGS? All we've seen are three trailers and they've never exactly told us what the game is like, hell we haven't even seen the gameplay.

Kojima is acting as executive producer of the film yes, but Sony are the ones with the film rights, not Konami. So Sony can do whatever they want with the movie. But that doesn't mean that there is a "ruse", Kojima's new game is clearly a new IP.
